Our little 16 year old Chihuahua began having horrible coughing fits this past summer. I tried a different product.. a liquid.. to try to help relieve his symptoms. I couldn't figure out what was causing them.. I thought perhaps allergies. I did some online research. The liquid drops I found did little to nothing to help. When it was time for annual vaccines, with Pandemic concerns, I had a Mobile Veterinarian come to our home to perform health exams and provide the vaccines which were due for our dogs. This gentle, very thorough Veterinarian discovered our Chihuahua's heart murmur (and also a kidney problem) during the exam. Bottom line.. I am elderly and on a fixed income, the correct treatments for our dear little Chihuahua were/are totally out of reach. Even the minimum heart medication would be $80/month.. not to talk about the special diet needed to address other problems. But it was either/or, and since it was barely manageable, I made the diet change..(more on this in a separate review), Still, I was at a loss with what to do about the constant coughing fits. Even the very first day I gave it to him, coughing fits were reduced. By the second day, much softer and rarer coughing occurred. Now it's been a few weeks, and there are only occasional, whispered coughs.. 2 or 3 at a time, hours apart. The comfort and ease this product brings, is absolutely astounding, if not miraculous. It may not be a heart murmur/regurgitating cure, but it makes life so much better for our older Chihuahua and is at a significantly lower cost than the Veterinarian's recommended pet pharmaceutical product. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS NATURAL DOG CARDIO STRENGTH.. HAWTHORNE SUPPLEMENT!!!

I add a pinch of this Hawthorne powder on my old doggie's food. It must not have an objectionable flavor, he eats it right up without pause. He is in his late teens and in the beginning stages of CHF. When he is stressed or plays too hard, he begins to cough. I use this powder as well as the (hawthorne/dandelion) drops...just not at the same time. I trade off every few days. I would say both the drops and this powder took a relatively short time to begin working. Currently we're at the point where he doesn't need them every day...maybe every 2 days. I'm very happy with the results. Greatly reduced his coughing and gasping. A good point to make is that these preparations will make your pet extra thirsty! Make sure you have plenty of fresh water for them. Annnd...yes, as others have mentioned...it will give them gas! Plenty of farts and surprised looks.

Definitely does seem to make him feel comfortable and relaxed with his congestive heart failure. However, the gas is deadly. It is funny when he looks at me after a loud bubbly pop but beware. Also I have been a bit concerned about the stool, if it could be causing a little looseness.

I've had my 7lb chihuahua on this from November 1st- present (12/4 as of today) and see a noticeable difference in his health.Background: I adopted him a year ago, he was 8yrs old with stage 3 heartworm disease. We put him on a slow treatment, one month of doxycyclin orally followed by two months off, 3 times. He developed congestive heart failure one month into treatment and began taking lasix, enalipril, and vetmedin twice a day. His cough worsened into spasms where he would lose muscle control so he was put on temaril twice a day. In October, after researching and becoming worried about long term use of temaril, a steroid, the vet suggested a plan to ween him off. It didn't work. He went right back to coughing badly.That's when I found this product. Mr. Fox used to cough frequently throughout the day. After being on this for about 3 weeks, I noticed he was rarely coughing so I decided to try to ween him off temaril again. It has been successful and it is now day 3 for not taking temaril with no noticable increase in coughing.I have tried many different kinds of supplements with his diet to help him because he is the best dog, he just got dealt a rough hand. Nothing else I purchased seemed to have an effect. I do put a coenzyme q10 powder on his food as well but I think it is this product that has really helped him.

Our small chi was diagnosed with heart murmur over a year ago, and I put her on this supplement immediately, and then stopped- thinking it wasn't doing anything for her and it's hard to tell what was different. The vet wasn't noting any murmurs anymore so I thought that was that and she didn't need it. She has worsened when I stopped, and couldn't tolerate her runs in the park without stopping to cough. Her cough became worrisome that I sought to have it checked. Long story short, I put her back on this supplement- and she is doing VERY WELL. No cough. Very active. She can tolerate running and playing without stopping to cough anymore. Now that I can tell the difference, it makes sense to me now- but I shouldn't have stopped her supplement in the beginning when it just started to happen, then she wouldn't have gotten worse. Cons- can't find the expiration date! Help?

My dog does not like the flavor, even wrapped in a treat. I have to mix it in wet food. Even then, he really doesn’t like it, but he gets hungry. I haven’t noticed a difference. I give it to him each day.

Not sure if this is a coincidence or what, but my chihuahua threw up everything not even an hour after having his first dose mixed with his dinner. He rarely throws up.Back story, he is a 13yr old chihuahua with CHF and a murmur. He’s on heart meds daily and I was just looking for something natural to help manage and keep him comfy. Sure, it could be a total coincidence that he threw up after trying this for the first time. I might try it once more tomorrow with dinner to see, however, it seems to me that this is the culprit.If I try again(hesitant) and it seems to be ok, I will come back and edit my review / stars

My dog has a grade 4/5 heart murmur, she is 10 now and has been on a small amount of this supplement for over a year. Her recent check up confirmed that there has been no further deterioration and she has no cough now which she did have at the beginning in the mornings. All I can say is it has done no harm and without scientific validation I believe it has helped her continue a normal life.

Maltese di 15 anni, 5 kg, con insufficienza mitralica , cuore ingrossato, broncomalacia e tanta tosse. Sotto farmaci per il cuore da un anno e mezzo la tosse peggiorava sempre.Ha preso inutilmente ogni sorta di sciroppo per la tosse. Cerco su internet e piuttosto scettica inizio ed utilizzare la polvere, un pizzico al giorno nel pasto del pranzo. Dopo circa 4 settimane mi accorgo che la tosse è meno aggressiva, non ha più gli attacchi forti di tosse ad anatra che tolgono il fiato. Continuo speranzosa perché la tosse è cmq sempre presente , e spero continui a diminuire. Aggiornero' più in la' se ci saranno cambiamenti .

Produit en poudre donc simplicité d'utilisation, ma chienne a un mini souffle au coeur et ce produit est génial.

Product is good but why is it not available on amazon lately? What happened?

I have been using this on my Yorkie for some time and was very happy with it. I am devastated that this product is no longer available. Many of us our relying on this for our pets and invested in it for it to disappear. Please can someone explain what has happened or can recommend a better one!
