Now, I can’t make any recommendations considering the controversy one might first be triggered by surrounding contra indication of allicin (garlic) being ingested by dogs. It’s a little common concern dog folk bring up about common foods dogs should not have. Now, the big true concern is dose, so when I found myself out of options, I turned to garlic as a remedy for my dog. Please consider caution as I have when deciding to administer garlic for my dog. My dog has a fungal issue. Malassezia is a common fungus found on animals and humans. Common symptoms of an overgrowth is simple dandruff and is what dandruff shampoos are designed to target. In my case, my dog was in severe distress over his overgrowth and lead to excessive licking and scratching causing more issues. This fungus eats oils, not carbohydrates, so it’s tricky to combat considering many topical cleaners and such contain oil that this fungus thrives on. The treatment from the vet is a anti-fungal oral tablet schedule of ketoconazole. These treatments are not great for long term as they may cause organ trouble. I have tried this and followed the vet’s recommendation. Out of options I turned to garlic as it is a powerful anti-fungal. First it was garlic cloves, then chopped fermented garlic on his food, but for ease of prep and the logic behind Allimax, I decided to go this route. Hands down, it was money well spent. The best results over I ever experienced over the 3 years or so of the rollercoaster of different treatments and of getting better and getting worse. This stuff has given me hope back for my dog. His fur (hair) is recovering and he is looking great. He licks less, scratches way less, appears happier, and - sorry for the TMI - his stool is way better. Pair this herbal supplement with good bathing practice, and food, and I am a believer that this stuff works for serious fungal infections. Why turn to garlic, I too have a mild skin issue; eczema. It is suspect of being a fungal issue too, and when I compared the doctor’s compounded steroidal and anti-fungal cream to straight garlic, the garlic won by a heap of difference. Topical garlic smells bad, and likely there is a gut issue. This is where Allimax is a good candidate for trial. I will soon try it as well for myself to see if I see the same results. Now, considering the the above, for something as simple as dandruff, Allimax might be a good option.

This product is simply miraculous for treating c diff. I tried other types of garlic and natural anti-bacterial supplements, this works the best in conjunction with probiotics and s. boulardi. After a month on this regimen my re-test came back negative and the bloating, nausea, stomach upset, lack of appetite, diarrhea, vomiting were all gone! So grateful to get my life back after being in agony for over a year. For personal reasons, I chose not to treat c diff with antibiotics. After reading about the high recurrence after antibiotic treatment, I figured I would first try the natural approach. I’m glad I did. One tiny pill a day keeps my symptoms at bay. When I get lax with my regimen, the telltale symptoms return so expect long term maintenance bc this is a super bug you’re dealing with and recurrence is exceptionally high. My friend uses this to treat staph and is also on daily maintenance therapy. I gave to my mom for shingles and it helped mitigate the severity and duration of symptoms. This is a must have product that I couldn’t live without and keeps my tummy happy.
