Description

Manuka hd Lite 2x2" 10 ct Honey Impregnated Non-Adherent Dressing A super absorbent polyacrylate polymer and polyester fiber dressing impregnated with ManukaMED 100% Leprospermum scoparium (Manuka Honey) from New Zealand. They have hydrocolloid surface coating to improve the ease of handling and applying the dressing. The coating combines with exudate to impart a non-adherent property to assist in dressing removal. The dressing will maintain a moist wound enviornment conducive to healing. Directions for use: Remove protective liners. Apply directly to wound either side down. Dressing may be cut to size. For large wounds use additional dressings and place side by side. Depending on the tissue type within the wound bed and level of exudate apply a secondary dressings of your choice. This could be a film bordered gauze hydrocolloid or other bandage. Dressing change: Depending on wound exudate any surrounding interstitial fluid edema and dressing protocol product may require a daily application. Re-apply if necessary. INDICATIONS Leg Ulcers Pressure Ulcers 1st and 2nd Degree Burns Diabetic Foot Ulcers Surgical Wounds Trauma Wounds Sterilized using irradiation Consult instructions for use Keep dry Do not re-sterilize Do not use if package damaged Keep out of sunlight Contra-indications: Do not use if allergic to honey or bee-venom. Although there is no record of increased blood sugar levels in patients with Diabetes due to the use of honey dressings it is advisable to monitor the levels during use. Temporary increased pain may be experienced due to osmotic action and/or the lo Ph of honey. If pain persists discontinue use of the dressing and gently irrigate the wound with sterile saline solution. Do not re-use: This is a single use dressing.
