Weight is 14 oz per size 11 boot, not lightest weight, but useful for trail hiking and running.Slanted cut: Height from inner sole 4" back, 5.5" front. Good ankle protection.I use them for hiking sun parched steep hills in Southern California. Grip on rolling pebbles is good.Front is durable, after 10 hours of hiking the front is undamaged. Sole wearability seems good.

At first I was skeptical because they were so light and they seemed less durable than my Keens but after wearing them for several months and putting them through what I would put any work boot through, they almost look brand new.I've run them through the wash twice and put them out to dry and I've seen no damage from the washing machine and they dry in record time compared to any other shoes I have.My new bootPSThey are a third of the cost of the previous chapter

I loved the quality and lightness but they were just too narrow for my wide feet.

Light we8ght decent tread, good all around summer boot but it might not be really warm in the colder months but I like them.

This particular model doesn't have the arch support of other Hi-Tec shoes I've worn.
