This is my Trauma Kit. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Without me, my kit is nothing. Without my kit, I am...well, not exactly nothing.Size: Like others have mentioned, calling this "Extra Large" may not have been a great call on Voodoo's part. For this style of bag, it is a larger version than normal, but it's no duffel bag. The dimensions are listed in the product description and they're right. The overall length is just 15" but for the purpose of a med kit (that's meant to be portable and added to an existing kit), I can't imagine wanting it to be larger.MOLLE/PALS: This is the only point where I've found this pack falling short. The great thing about the MOLLE system is that it's a universal interface. Straps weave in and out of webbing spaced 1 inch apart. Genius. But as you can see in my photos, I had a mag pouch mounted on one side holding my tourniquet - which I've since upgraded to an actual TQ pouch. The single row of thick and thin webbing on the front and sides of this bag make weaving impossible and thus a secure bond isn't possible. In the end, you get a floppy pouch on the side...but it is technically mounted and won't likely fall off. The rear of the bag is better but not perfect. There are 5 (yes 5) straps to weave into the PALS on your pack/vest/belt and they work like MOLLE usually does. But there's a little too much strap at the top and this makes the bag "droop" away from whatever it's mounted to, especially when you add more weight. It's secure but not tight. Fortunately, I run mine as a standalone so that's not an issue for me, but something you might want to consider.Color: I went with red. Like I've said, this is a trauma kit for me. I added some photos which I color corrected to look as close s possible as it does in person with the naked eye. Nylon never photographs well.Capacity: WOW. It really does hold a lot more than I thought it would. This is perfect in the role of a first responder's bag.Contents: So you're shopping online for some molle gear and reading a review. You're my kind of people. That said, you might be curious as to what I keep in it. It's not a Maxpedition bag and that's not a bad thing!
While this it not as heavy duty a product as a comparable bag from Maxpedition (600 Denier fabric versus Maxpedition's 1000 Denier) the stitching and welting (material used to cover exposed ends of fabric panels) is comparable and the bag is quite rugged and the perfect size for a day bag or SHTF bag. Before you think this is a knock I assure you that it is not. When compared to a similar Maxpedition bag (The Sabercat Versipack) it doesn't... quite... match it for quality but what it DOES have going for it is that this bag is easily 80% of the quality of the Maxpedition bag but is easily less than 30% (~$32 vs ~$125) of the cost of the Maxpedition bag. It has PALS webbing stitched into place in strategic areas all over the bag which will allow you to customize the bag quite nicely through the addition of external pouches or clipped on gear... for example, one of the things I have clipped onto the bag is a NiteIze Pocket Pouch holding a multitool, a small set of drivers for the multitool, a very nice little flashlight, a 6" stainless steel mechanics ruler, a DPMS non-marring AR takedown tool, and a CRKT M16 folder. And everything is being supported quite easily by the bag. On one side of the bag is a surprisingly roomy pocket while the other side, which you can't see in the pictures, has five sewn on heavy duty PALS straps that would allow you to quickly and relatively easily secure the bag to any pack or tactical vest with tactical webbing. The bag is quite roomy in every pocket and quite well made. Do I have the Maxpedition Sabercat? Yes. But can afford to keep a Sabercat loaded with SHTF gear in every vehicle I own? No. My Maxpedition Sabercat cost, with the exception of my backup handgun, almost half of the total cost of the bag and gear. BUT, I CAN easily keep one of these bags full of emergency gear (first aid kit, Eton Scorpion weather radio/flashlight, multitool, flashlight, etc...) in every vehicle my family owns. And this bag is slightly larger and can hold more than the Sabercat. It does NOT have the waistbelt that the Sabercat has but since I never use that particular feature (I always use the shoulder strap) that is not exactly a minus since I find the waistbelt annoying MOST of the time (I'll probably be extremely grateful for it if I ever need it... the one thing that has kept me from finding some way to remove it). In summary, this is a well made, rugged bag with a lot of potential expansion options, a lot of storage space, and would be a great deal at twice the price.

Couldn't live with out it!
I'm buying a third (have the smaller version, and this larger size) because I would be loath to replace it, if it were ever discontinued in the future. Mine is nearly four years old at this point, and I don't mind saying, I have used the hell out of it. Every web, strap and pocket on my bag is encrusted with clip-on flashlights, pocket knives and multitools. I carry keys, passports and markers in the smaller front packet and anything that fits in the rear, larger pocket. I'm sure my loaded weight is between 10 and 15 pounds at this point. I have been dragging it in and out of vehicles and carrying it (strap over shoulder) nearly everywhere I go during that time. The only wear at this point is a slight fading to the color (I tend hang mine over the passenger side headrest in my vehicle while I'm driving). Beyond that, there are no indications of it's age, or the beating I've given it--all of the zippers and clips function as new. I have purchased (and returned, many Maxpedition bags costing three times as much that didn't meet my expectation. This bag was, and is, a keeper from the start. BTW, the reason I only gave it four, instead of five stars is that it's NOT made of the 1,000 denier nylon Maxpedition bags are made out of. If it was, I'd gladly pay $100 for it!

Great price and long term durability
I trusted this bag to build my daughters emergency kit for her car, fast forward a few years and a few cars later this bag is still going strong through many Alaska summers and winters. Well built, good zippers and stitching. I liked the red so she didnt confuse it with anything other than EMS gear and needed supplies and she could find it easier.

Is it really worth it? Not really.
This bag arrived on time. Its satisfactory. It is made of thick material, vinyl interior,For the price, in my opinion its not worth it. There are other red EMT looking bags that might be better worth it for the price I paid. The inside does not even have separation for roll gauze or holding little bottles for medicine. I'll keep it for now, but I could have two rip away EMT bags for roughly the same price.
