I've purchased a number of solar camping lamps to compare. Tonight our power went out, and I tried them one by one and this one was far better than the rest! Some were rather dim, others too directional (like flashlights). But this one really did a great job of lighting an area for either reading or task work. For the price, it can't be beaten by any other lamp I've yet seen.

This is a very bright light. Its the brightest solar I have found. It has two setting low and high. I ran it all night on low and it was still working the next morning. This is GREAT for using where ever or for emergency..

Super bright, lights up a camper van very well. Charges small electronics and charges fairly fast. Lightweight and fairly good construction, especially considering price.

I will be keeping this light, but..... The light is smaller than I originally thought when I purchased. In the descriptive photos, it shows the light next to a cell phone with the cell phone being considerably smaller in the photo....NOT the case! The light itself is approximately 4 3/4 inch in diameter and 1 7/8 inches tall. Including the hanger (without the clip), which swivels, it is approximately 4 3/4 inches tall. The clip itself is 1 7/8 inches in length and 7/8 inch at its widest point. The light has a solar panel on top of the light itself. There is a 4 position white button on the side, near the top, of the light. It controls off, USB port on the light (which is not used to charge this light), low brightness, and high brightness with each click of the push button. While the light is a nice soft light (I would not consider the light "ultra-bright" as described), the difference between the low and high brightness positions is minimal to the eye. You should be able to read easily under this light from 4-8 foot away and should provide a nice even and soft light over a picnic table at night. The light is very light in weight, so even the slightest wind will cause the light to swing if it is hung with a small rope or string. It would probably be better to hang it directly from a small limb or other stable support. It comes with a USB charge cable and takes a long time to charge from a USB port on computer. A red light appears near charging port on light when charging. I have charged my light for over 24 hours by USB and the red charge light never turned off or changed colors. I am not sure how long the solar panel would take to charge this device and I am unsure as to how long the light will emit light before the battery (which does not use replaceable batteries) has to be recharged. A couple of battery supports on the inside of the light were broken when I received it and I decided to glue them back on rather than return the light. It would work well inside a small or family (4-6 people) tent or even in a small room in the home during an emergency. It definitely is NOT water proof. I will keep the light, but it isn't nearly as large as the descriptive photos seem to indicate, is an all plastic body/lens, and I probably wouldn't pay almost $11 for this particular light again.*I would caution that many of the previous reviews have all been done within a few days of each other, over a period of a month or two, and are not "verified purchases".

.The light with the Flat type lens (is NOT water Resistant)...The plug in charging port is on the top by the solar panel and has NO cover. Rain and dew runs directly into the electronics. And there is NO cover for the USB port. So water goes in the light and causes it to quit working.

The ability to charge via a phone charger and/or solar is a plus. Bright enough to light up a 10x10 pop up. A little bulky and heavy but definitely worth the extra weight.

it have a cellphone charging port and just for this..it makes it a plus!! expecially when you live in a disaster area!!

Very bright light! It will be very handy for power outages and outside gatherings.
