Case Logic 17.3-Inch Laptop Bag (VNCI-217),Black

Bought this thing for work and for on-the-go gaming. I have a newer Samsung Series 7 laptop in here (the ivy bridge/kepler one.) and I couldn't be happier. It has plenty of space inside the main compartment for my laptop (17 inches- and still has room for more.) and the power brick (which is bigger than most.)- you could easily fit an ASUS G-Series + power supply in the main compartment. The front of the laptop has a big nice pocket, which seems like it never fills. Currently, I have a wireless mouse (regular size), headphones, iPhone charger, x2 GoFlex portable hard drives + USB adapter, and a Storm of Swords (A big, thick, paper back book.) and I still have room for more. I am also surprised that the despite being packed the front pocket never seems to bulge. There is also another pocket inside the main compartment, almost the flap, which fits any tablet of your choice nicely. I normally use it to tout around my WACOM tablet and iPad. They fit in there rather nicely. The strap is good and supportive. Does not feel flimsy. I guess the material the bad is made out of is nice. Not too scratchy. Zippers function great. Never had any of them stick on me yet. I do want to talk about, what I think, is the unsung hero of this bag. The handle. It is awesome. It straddles the line or reality and somehow is a state of squishy and firm. It feels great is all i can say. I often find myself just grabbed the handle and squishing it in my hands. It feels like a stress ball. Overall, I think this bag does a hell of a job. And the price of the thing! Super cheap. I think you would be hard pressed to find a bag of similar quality and size at a close price point. TL;DR This is pretty much a bag of holding (It's a D&D item. Bag of holding = a magic bag than can hold things larger than its own size.)

I love everything about this case. It’s large enough to fit my clunky15 year old PC. The velcro strap inside is strong and holds my PC in place well. The inside pocket easily holds my mouse pad plus two spiral pads and two file folders with room to spare. The outside zipper pocket is roomy enough to hold my mouse and cords. Use this case everyday going to and from my work place. I used to struggle packing up my stuff in smaller cases. I dreaded doing it. Now packing up is easy and enjoyable. The material and zipper are quality. The shoulder strap is adjustable and has a pad to protect your shoulder. It’s very lightweight too. I recommend this case if you want quality and functionality at a good price. Well done seller!

For the money it would be hard to expect more. This case is made of a very durable nylon-type material with strong stitching. It's adequately cushioned and will provide a reasonable amount of shock protection, meaning I wouldn't worry about banging it against a table or counter top while turning but I'm not sure I'd want to drop it from hip-height, especially not on-edge. My 17.3" HP Envy dv7 fits well and since that is a slim laptop there is room for a binder and large notepad along with it in the main compartment and I find that very convenient. It would be nice if there was a 2nd strap for securing the laptop in place inside that compartment, it doesn't make sense to me why there is only one and that one off-center. The outside pocket has enough room for an extra battery (or two) and headphones; I also stuck some pens, blank disks and flash drives in there. I imagine that storage for flash drives is the purpose for the 3 small pockets inside that side pocket, I don't see any other use for them yet. The strap is strong and quite long enough to allow me to sling the laptop around my neck and shoulder, making carrying hands-free easy. I'm very happy with this case and expect to get a lot of use out it.

I debated on whether to buy this case or purchase a more expensive one w/ more features ...and in the end, I couldn't resist the price of this particular model and I'm pretty pleased now that I have it. Rather than be redundant to a previous 2013 feedback posting ('A budget case with some compromises'), where I feel the write-up is very well spot-on, I will only offer some recommendations for better product experience. 1. The minimal internal padding can be beefed-up very easily & inexpensively. Just use at least 1/4" thick high-density sheet foam which can be bought for less than $5 at any home improvement type store...or better yet, go to any furniture store because they typically throw away tons of it (that's where I got mine for free ;-) It can be easily trimmed to fit the internal dimensions of the case itself ...Now this modification won't improve corner reinforcement nor its lack of not having a sturdier internal frame (i.e., as mentioned by other posters), but in my opinion, if that's what you require, you'd be better off with a more expensive briefcase anyway ...btw, good luck finding one that will comfortably accommodate a 17.3" laptop that won't cost significantly more than this one. 2. Replace the plastic D-rings (i.e., intended for the strap) with metal ones. Cost, less than $1 and problem solved. In conclusion, if you are looking for a inexpensive light-use case for a 17.3" laptop that has more than adequate space for the 'usual suspect' computer peripherals, this is hard to beat for the low price and overall functionality.

After comparing prices of laptop bags in some of the local big box stores, I figured Amazon would give me the best deal. Amazon never fails to provide me with the best price for products I seek to purchase. My dad wanted a case for his new 17.3" Toshiba laptop. All I can say is that this is a great, low-profile laptop bag with plenty of room for his laptop, power cord, and even a small binder! Once again, for the price, I have absolutely no complaints. There is adequate padding to protect the laptop from damage. Regardless of the padding, the best way to protect your prized possessions is to care for them. If you don't go swinging the bag into objects, or dropping the bag on the floor with the laptop inside, then there won't be any issues. There's no bag on the market that can protect your laptop from that (unless you want to carry it around in a box with bubble wrap and styrofoam). The average rating says it all. Good luck!

Five stars from me for quality, practicality, spaciousness, comfort, and appearance. My review is based on product vs. price and what the product actually is, not what I wish it were. This attractive case has plenty of room for your 17" laptop along with its power cord and mouse. Its padded outside zippered pocket will comfortably hold portable hard drives, cell phones, and other small items while keeping them safe from knocks and bangs. Ample inside cushioning affords worry-free transporting of your laptop, but I wouldn't suggest pitching the case into the trunk of your car. Other than that, your laptop will easily survive the usual unexpected hits and bumps. The case has a very comfortable padded handle and an adjustable shoulder strap, which is comfortable enough in that it cannot dig into your shoulder, and the easy-pull zippers function quite smoothly. This bag is obviously not a top-of-the-line case, but dollar for dollar it's a very good buy. BOTTOM LINE: Buy it.

This case fits my 17.3" laptop well, has enough room for a large power supply and external mouse, and a few other pockets for pens or thumb drives or whatever. Zippers and strap seem fine, I've had it about a month with no sign of wear, I'll update later if there are issues. A couple other reviewers have complained about the padding, but it seems perfectly adequate (and better than the padding my laptop shipped in). Maybe it wouldn't protect a laptop from a fall down a flight of stairs, but, um, don't throw your laptop down a flight of stairs and expect it to survive. It's pretty slim and really light, and provides decent protection and storage without being overly bulky or heavy, an optimal combination. If you want something really heavy duty with lots of padding, or that can double as a briefcase, maybe this isn't for you, but for a light to medium duty laptop-only case it fits the bill very nicely.

This is perfect for a laptop and all that goes with it. If you have a wireless mouse node in your side USB port, you don't need to remove it to fit the laptop into the case. There is plenty of room for the mouse, mouse pad, power cord, ten-key-pad, extra papers. Has a strap inside to keep the laptop in place but if you're picky you'd say it could use an additional strap for this purpose, because it is so big inside. I use a laptop sleeve first, then put that inside the case. Removable shoulder strap is nice, zippers well made, convenient front pocket, handle is secure and has a sturdy but padded feel. Padding inside the case is ideal.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who was starting a new job and wanting to look professional and he loves it. It's the perfect size and can fit everything he needs into it and it looks smart at the same time.

Great bag for what I need. I have a 17" laptop that I carry around a lot and the strap of my bag broke so I bought this one. I like how light it feels as the laptop is heavy enough. It is wide and the fitting is perfect. I also like the front pocket that lets me keep my charger and USB cables to be available at any time.

I am using this for the Ableton Push 3 device, it fits well, is well protected, sturdy and sleek.
