JT International Tough1 Rubber Grip Schooling Reins

My lesson kiddos love the colors on these reins. They're thicker than a braided rein, so it gives the more unsure riders a more sturdy feeling because they feel like they're holding on to something bigger. One of my kiddos has touch sensory processing issues and he likes the feel of the reins. I used them the other day when riding a new horse for the first time (her bridle is not here yet) and I cannot say that I specifically am a fan. I thought they were too thick and was kind of expecting something to hold on to at the color transitions, and they don't fold over to one side of the neck very well so I thought that for the schooling work we were doing they kind of got in the way. However, they are not really for me, they are for my lesson kids, and they love them.

Reins are being used by my granddaughter as she learns to ride . Reins are very helpful on learning hand position and control.
