It’s a bit chonky but the magnet + clip holds on to bits tight. Also, cheap bits don’t wobble around in it. I contend this is one of the best bit holders I’ve used.

This is a torsion style bit holder, so it is intended for the more construction type of work than for industrial or automotive. I selected this specific one for its size and quick change style, and the price given that. I prefer the quick change style of this, and although many state it is not for one handed operation, I find this style very easy to use with one hand. When inserting the bit, I have the bit in hand and with my fingers, pull the collar of the holder towards the bit and it slides right in. To remove, I just start gripping with my fingers on the collar and pull the bit out. I have used the style where you just push the bit in and do not prefer it. Often times, at least for me, the collar does not remain in the open position, especially when moving fast.In use, this holds bits very well, a firm fit and hold. I like the combination of the ball and magnetic retention. The ball often leaves slop in the bit and the magnet sometimes loses your fastener, but the combination gives you the no wiggle grip of the magnet while not allowing the bit to be pulled off while using. The slim design allows it to work well screwing in electrical boxes, which is big for me as the other styles I have cannot allow for a perfectly straight fit.

This bit holder is awesome! I honestly can't think of a con other than maybe a half inch shorter would be nice but it's not bad. The rubber gripper is hands down the best thing about this. The last thing I need when I'm working with sweaty hands or wearing gloves and I can't change bits quickly and easily. This one doesn't have that prob. Another thing I really like is to load a new bit you pull the gripper forward and it licks in, then when you need to change to a different size you pull as you start pulling the bit and it's one fluid motion... much better than having to stop, pull the end backward then put your impact between your legs so you can use your OTHER hand to pull the dang bit out! This one is great. I have one from a reputable place and it's slick, you have to struggle to release your bit then if you don't get your finger out of the way it pinches your finger drawing blood! It was THAT that caused me to open up my app and pick a different bit holder, and fortunately I got THIS one and I'll be buying more 4 sure! Bosch, if you're listening, dont change a thing. This is perfect!!

A little sticky in the slide/locking mechanism but overall a good tip. Sometimes you have to tap the tip on the side to change out tips but no big deal. Works good and I like it the fact that it fits the impact driver as well as the screw gun. A little pricey but is good quality.

Only bit driver I've ever thought was near perfect. I always have trouble with bits falling out no matter the application, this eliminates that issue

Superb quality, as expected from Bosch. The magnet strength is decent and you only use it for non-hex bits.Hex bits are securely locked as you would do with any impact driver. It's a perfect fit that won't detach you bits while using. I only wish this came in a longer version, which is currently only magnetic.

when used with impact driver, it needs sometimes pliers to change the insert bit.
