Sharp and Smooth. Clean Shave
I use this blade with my Henson AL13 razor. This blade is sharper, stiffer, and lasts longer than the RK blades shipped with the AL13. Recommend using a high quality tallow based shave soap instead of canned shave cream with this blade to avoid shave burn from the sharper blades. It is easy to get more than 4 shaves out of each of these higher quality blades.

I was about to give up on safety razors, but this one is perfect. No nicks or irritation.

Great Blades & Great Price
Gillette Silver Blue Blades are sharp, smooth and last for a few shaves. Can't really go wrong at this price for the 100 blades. Delivery was fast and blades came as pictured.

Good combination of smooth and reasonably sharp
These seem to be above average in sharpness while being quite smooth.I would put them a step higher than the Astra Greens. They are a bit hard to find and due to certain events may disappear from the market altogether.Mine were shipped in a plain envelope and one of the 5 pack boxes was crushed. The rest were fine. Try to order together with something light and soft (so hopefully Amazon puts them in a box).Note that the razor blades are held to the paper envelopes with 4 dabs of wax (to protect the blade edge from shifting and rubbing into the paper). Most people do not mind this, but some may have strong preferences.

Fantastic blades
I started DE shaving about six weeks ago with a Parker 96R and a Merkur 34C, and a sample pack of blades. I've learned a few very important things about DE shaving. First, you will have to find the razor that best suits you. I liked the Parker when I first started using it, but quickly realized the Merkur is much better for me. I liked the shorter handle and much more compact head. The second thing I learned is that you have to go through a rigorous testing process with the blades to find the one you like the most.I loved the Derbys after using them for a week and thought "this is it - I'm going to buy 100 of these." Then I used the Gillette 7 O'Clocks in the green package, and thought "no, these are the best." I really wanted to like the Feathers, because lots of online articles say they are the best - and they're expensive, so they have to be good, right? Well, they do give a good shave, but with lots of nicks. Went on to the Sharks, threw them out after two shaves. Really liked these Gillete blues too. So, I narrowed it down to the green and blue Gillettes and the Derbys. I switched blades every two days, and sometimes every day, to get a feel for which blade I liked the most. After six weeks and lots of shaves, these Gillette Silver Blues really give me the best shave, with no cuts, and seem to last several days.Another very important thing to experiment with is shaving cream and, for me, shaving oil. I use Taylor of Old Bond Street cream, a good badger brush, and I made my own shaving oil with two parts castor oil and one part olive oil, with a few drops of lavender to make it smell better. I've tried shaving with and without the oil, and with the oil definitely gives a smoother shave with fewer (actually, zero) cuts.No razor, and no razor blade, is "best" for everyone. Try different razors (they're not that expensive at $30-ish each) and plan to spend a month or more testing blades. Once you know what you like, buy a ton of them and enjoy. But be sure you understand that DE shaving is a "system" of the right razor, blades, brush, cream, and oil. Skimp on any one of these and it can be a miserable experience and steep learning curve.

My husband says these are great! They don't pull on skin, just glides over smoothly. We have tried other brands but these have been the best. Absolutely recommend these double edged blades.
