Very sturdy, always appears clean and handle makes it easy to move from microwave.
Putting spaghetti sauce in microwave, regular containers have no handle and become awkward to remove and to pour from. This little container fills the bill perfectly. Heats contents in little time, easy to remove from microwave oven and so convenient to pour over food. Very satisfied with this!

GRAB, GRAB-IT, U'LL LUV IT' !!!
I LOVE THESE GREAT LITTLE BOWLS!! They are a must have for anyone (like me) with rheumotoid arthritis. The handles make it soooooo much easier for me to lift these bowls, especially (when hot) out of the microwave.I have every kind of plastic bowl & container you can think of (tupperware, rubbermaid, lock-&-lock, etc.) and they all pit (melt) in the microwave with anything containing a high fat content, oil, sugar, tomato, high acid base, etc. These Corning Ware bowls continue to look brand new even after years of use. Also, with research showing links to cancer from plastics, I feel much better using the C.W. bowls in the microwave for my 3 yr. old Granddaughter's foods. You just can't go wrong with these bowls. They do it all, freezer, fridge, microwave & oven. I love serving chili, stews and chowders in them....they're just the perfect size.Unlike plastic that stains, pits, warps & cracks...if you purchase these you will have blemish-free, new looking bowls for years to come.

Durable, Practical
These bowls are very durable and practical, however, the lids are somewhat hard to remove. I hope they loosen up with use. These bowls are great for microwaving soup and leftovers. I own 2 sets. One set I've had at least 16 years and still looks like new.

Excellent Quality, Very Practical
We've been using Grab-It dishes for over 30 years, and they've been a household favorite all that time. We lost some over the years to accidents, so we were happy to see they're still available. I was concerned they may not be up to the same quality as our ones from the early 80s. If anything, the new ones are even better than the old ones. There are slight dimensional differences, but the lids still fit across both.Still our favorite bowls in the house for soup, cereal, fruit, and so on. Not to mention if you dish up too much, pop on the lid and stick it in the fridge for later. :)

No On Corningware
Corningware "sold" their product to another company to make and market, using the Corningware name. Unlike what we grew up with this isa second rate product. It is NOT like the original composition, but juststoneware. The top is plastic, not glass. The original you could cook, bake, grill, using the dish. You can NOT do ALL this with the "new" Corningware.Priced like the original quality Corningware but made in China.A Wall-Mart knock-off would do just as well, at a much better price.

Makes heating food easier
I enjoy using the covered corning bowl because of the handle and the fact that I don't hsve any spills in the micro-wave from bowls without a cover. It is just the right size for one person, and if you are two people - why just buy two. They are easy to wash, and easy to use. If you are not looking for easy - do not buy this product. I really enjoy the ones I purchased, and except for Amazon I could not find any anywhere. The ones I saw were either too large of too small. Now it's up to you.

handle gets hot
This is a nice little dish for warming up small amounts of leftovers and storing them (15 ounces isn't much!), but I find that if you need to heat something up for longer than a couple of minutes or so, the little bitty handle will get hot.The handle is also quite short and stubby, so it's hard to carry the dish around by it...especially if it is full. They probably should have put some ribbing on it or something to make it less slippery, too.One more thing...I must question WHY the lid also covers the handle...? It just makes it more awkward to fit the cover over it.

GRAB IT AND RUN!
I've not been enamored by any pot or pan or utensil, other than my Mother's potato ricer, that can come close to owning this Corningware piece. I love it! It's multipurpose, convenient, stores well and cleans so easily it continues to look brand new for many years. I will say that chili soup does leave a slight stain on the cover but with a little vinegar and water, it's gone! My daughter, a college student, has taken ownership of at least one! And when she can't find it the night before to prepare her lunch for the next day -- she majorly loses it. Not finding it means another COLD sandwich and carrots instead of a warm meal for the next day. When filled with left overs from the night before - meatloaf, rice and brocolli - the last thing she reaches for on school days after the coat, backpack, lipstick and purse is opening the refrigerator door to grab her lunch! Corning, you saved the day!
