Can you use a straw with this cup and lid?

No, but the company has a cup like this that comes with a straw and lid. I bought that one for a coworker and it was fantastic.

How exactly does the lid work? Im picky about my lids and there are no descriptions on the lid.

The lid is difficult to get clean around the many parts. It fell apart and the cost for a new lid is available from Mighty Mug and costs half the price of a new tumbler.

How to make the bottom of the cup stick to the top of a table when it stops

I'm not really sure?🤔 But cleaning really well. I have dropped mine so many times( especially on the driveway) but the thing I love about these cups are that they can set in a very hot car and my water is still ice cold. I highly recommend this Mighty Mug even if you don't have to arm wrestle it off the table.

Can these also be used for carbonated drinks like soda or seltzer?

I wouldn't recommend using this tumbler for carbonated beverages, the pressure build up would make opening the lid to drink from very difficult and could damage the lid. The manufacturer even advises that you let hot beverages cool a little before putting on the lid.
