Royally Emma
As always with the announcement of a new release from Emma Chase I was excited to read this book. Moreover it’s the start of a series and if I’ve learned anything from her Legal Briefs series they just keep getting better the more you read. This book is all about main characters Olivia and Nicholas and is the first book in Emma’s Royally series.Olivia is constantly struggling against the ever rising tide to keep her late mother’s coffee shop above water. She’s feisty and caring and is doing her upmost to make the best life for her sister. I felt sorry for Olivia throughout because she’s got a lot of expectation on her shoulders, from herself and her father. Then Nicholas walks is suave ass into her life and changes everything.Nicholas and his upbringing are the antithesis of Olivia and hers. Where Oliva battles for every penny Nicholas comes from a life of unbridled privilege. Nick is in New York to retrieve his hell raising brother Henry and I’m already looking forward to reading Henry’s story. It definitely feels like he’s loosely based a Prince of our own.Nicholas and Olivia share the narrative throughout the book which serves well because while both characters are so different their chemistry is so immediate that seeing both of their perspectives allows you to feel swept up without feeling like the story is moving too fast. Nick is often quite crass and at first really shows himself up. Olivia has more decorum than Nick at some points throughout. I loved that she was able to keep him on his toes and put him in his place when he needed it.If you’ve enjoyed Emma’s books in the past or if you are fans of Christina Lauren’s series’ I am sure you will enjoy this. Royally Matched, the 2nd book in the series featuring Nicholas’ brother Prince Henry, is out in February.

Simply Brilliant
Who said fairy tales are for children? This is a fairy tale for grown ups, it's funny, sexy, sweet and captivating with the most delicious, arrogant sexy bad boy and an independent, strong, down to earth hard working girl. All the characters are fantastic but Olivia an Nicholas are brilliant, I love the way they complement each other, how Olivia treats him and how much Nicholas changes with her. The chemistry between then is scorching, sexy and sweet. I can't wait to read Harry's story next.

A tongue in cheek fairytale!
The imagination gets royally stretched in this predictable but surprisingly well written story of two royal princes Nicholas and Henry. Nicholas the sensible one while on a visit to New York to reel in his brother meets Olivia a poor commoner. They agree on a summer affair at which point Nicholas has to announce his engagement to a girl with blue blood, and a virgin! Nicholas takes Olivia back to his kingdom for the summer but as the summer comes to an end the lovers don't want to part.I enjoyed this book, it was funny, sad in places, and also had passion, and the supporting characters were brilliant. It ended abruptly and of course there is Henry's story to come which I will probably read but which sounds even more silly; however I just felt the author's writing talents are wasted on writing these silly fairytales.

Cheese please!
Royally Screwed was a really enjoyable read.It was paced really well, it was never boring, it made me laugh out loud and I teared up a few times, mostly at the sappy moments.Nicholas is charming, flirty, closed off and at times completely clueless about women which makes me love him even more.Olivia is such a sweetheart, bless her heart for thinking she could resist those dimples. She is the kind of character I'd like to know personally. What I love is how Emma managed to make all of the characters stand out in their own way, the security team, the quirky sister, the best friend who has zero tact, the broken brother. I love them all.At times the gooey eyed descriptions were a bit cheesy but it felt natural due to how the characters were written.I got this book on kindle and I'm going to buy it and the rest of the Royally series on paperback. I can't wait to read more from Emma. Here's one of my favourite moments from the book;‘Walking up to the apartment, I feel like a James Bond martini—shaken—but also stirred.’That line made me laugh so much.

4.5 Stars!
I have read this series all higgledy piggledy. I read book 2 & 4 a while back and have been wanting to catch up with the other books ever since. I thought I’d start at the beginning this time 🤣So far I have thoroughly enjoyed every book that I’ve read from Emma Chase and this one was no exception. I loved Nicolas & Olivia’s story. A handsome prince and a normal girl with a normal life. A Cinderella tale come true. Throw in a heap of heat and drama, and this was a novel that had me in hooked. I can’t wait to read the remaining books as soon as I get the chance. If you love a rags to riches romance, this series is definitely for you.
