Diamond Brite Oil-Based Enamel Paint, White, 1 Gallon, 32000-1

This paint is hard and durable and does dry. I used it to cover a 57 yr old concrete garage driveway 585 sq. ft. using 6 gal. That would be 98 sq. ft/gal when it is suppose to be 400 sq. ft/gal. The instructions are detailed and complicated and did not explicitly follow them. I'll just tell you what I did. First, I patched up the holes and cracks, waited a couple days, applied a coat of concrete water seal, waited a couple of days, and then applied the paint--not in 2 coats, but one heavy coat. The paint is thick and seems to like the thick coat and it dried in three days temperature 55 - 75 humidity 57%. One could say I did everything wrong, but it worked for me and am very satisfied.

Great and can't beat the price, for a hard to find paint.

Oil based concrete paint is no longer available, ... and years ago we used an Oil Based concrete paint for our Lani, tried it twice and the paint would always peel so we were advised to use an Oil Based Primer, and couldn't find it locally but found the Right One on Amazon... and so happy with the results. We power washed our Lani first to have most of the loose paint removed not all came off so our painter applied 2 Coats of the Primer and it covered very well, a beautiful color, dried quickly, then he only needed to apply one coat of the Water Based Paint, ... and said this should last us for years and never peel again.... we are so happy, and our Lani is a beautiful gray, slate color.... Would Definitely Recommend This Primer... (Thanks Amazon for carrying this primer)

I was making some "vintage" replacement cabinets for an older home, something that would match the look and feel which we could add without doing a complete tear-out-and-remodel - and needed a "matching" paint, something durable, something easy to clean, which pretty much rules out most (if not ALL) "water based" products. This stuff is oil base, so yes, it "smells" a bit when curing. Not a problem here. Dried well, has a nice solid finish, with oil base durability. I lined the new cabinets with vinyl shelf paper, installed these next to the old cabinets, and VIOLA - near perfect match! I've "demolished" 50-year-old wooden cabinets during kitchen remodels in the past, where the "old" oil based paint finish was still going strong - cleanable, still protecting, the wood beneath the paint was virtually brand new - so I know what I'm talking about. This was a "budget" product, so my solution had to fit the budget: Vintage style custom wood cabinet, oil based paint to finish, and vinyl shelf liner turned out to be the perfect solution. You can't ask much more from a proven product, such as old school oil base enamel.

Brilliant and glossy blue. Went on easily, but it does take a while to cure. I used restoleum clear white primer on a metal door. I had to strip off the latex because it was bubbling in the sun. Both of the new applications are oil based, so I hope they stand up to the sun and heat, I’m in Palm Springs area.

Fantastic enamel. Goes a long way. BEAUTIFUL COLOR. Drys very hard. I feel like it should be a 4.8 or 4.9 rating. Currently rated at 4.4 as I type this. I love it.

We purchased this paint and the primer. It is awful. It has been on our porch for about 3 months and it is splitting, flaking & peeling off. The surface was sanded, cleaned and applied after the primer was used. Both paint & its primer were a total waste of money. Don’t waste your money on it. I could post unless I read it with a star. I gave it one, but it doesn’t deserve a one.

Blew away the so called ''Epoxy'' paint! Water based epoxy paint would bubble up any place salt/ice would melt on floor from the cars. Junk! This stuff stays on and even dragging a floor jack across it and hot rubber tires sitting on it, mostly ok. My heavy 3/4 ton truck did transfer some paint up, but very little. The secret is letting this oil base stuff dry a long time! I used in the dead of winter, but sure the drying time in summer would be much quicker!
