Does the job it's supposed to do

I was a bit surprised at the weight of the charger when I took it out of the box - it weighs 220g, which is by far the heaviest wall charger I've used. In comparison, the Anker 3-port 65W charger only weighs 167g.This charger is great if you have tablets. From what I know, iPad Pro supports maximum charging wattage of 30W, which is the output of the USB-C 1 port of this charger when both USB-C ports are in use.Veld is still a newcomer in this industry and it shows - their 18W charger is as large as the one I bought from Anker 6 years ago. Well-known brands like Anker and UGreen have been making progress in GaN charger technology in the last 2 years, and Veld still doesn't make any GaN chargers yet. However I am glad to have discovered this brand and wanted to show my support because I am trying to avoid Chinese brands and this is the only British brand in this industry.

Bought partly on the strength of C'S review which says the company is British. But it says made in PRC on the box.

This would have been a perfect charger at 120W even for travel use at such a small size. However, it has a significant design flaw. The charger makes a high pitch audible whistling noise while any of the ports are being used. I returned one and re-ordered a new one thinking it must be the unit. However, the second unit suffers from the same exact problem. This often happens with cheap, old or poorly designed chargers where the inner components are either low quality or their vibrations are not properly taken into account and contained. The annoying whistling is audible, particularly if used in a quiet room and even charging at low power which is a major flaw in my view. For an expensive charger, this problem should not really be there.

Looks to be a versatile charging device for my many recharging requirements. I understand that special cables are needed to ensure that the "super fast" claims are realised, but I'm not sure how I will be able to prove that they actually work.

Arrived on time, works well, recently bought an iPad so helpful to have the usb c ports as well.
