Terrific thru-hike shelter
I'm absolutely loving this tent. While it is heavier than some other models I was considering purchasing (Tarptent, Big Agnes, etc), this model had the features that my wife and I were looking for as our new thru-hike backpacking shelter.A true rectangle, you get a floorplan that doesn't taper at the feet end. This means you can fit 2 adults shoulder to shoulder and still fit. Who wants to sleep with their face by someone else's feet after days of hiking? I sure don't.The mesh tent body construction breathes very well, pretty much eliminating condensation. The rainfly also breathes extremely well, allowing just enough airflow through to keep condensation down considerably while still keeping you warm inside. The fly also has an extra optional vent on each end to allow even more airflow on those warmer nights, and these vents can also be closed with velcro. The tent is extremely secure even in high winds. The simple setup process, including full tent, rainfly, and footprint, means you can get out of the weather very quickly. The vestibules provide ample space for a pack and pair of shoes on each side, and it also allows each occupant to have their own entry/exit point. Critical when you need to keep gear dry, but when you also need to get in/out for those nighttime bio breaks.I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs, and I fit great in this tent. My wife is much smaller than me, so we fit just fine side by side and have plenty of foot room inside, and head space for our stuff sack pillows. The cross beam on the top pole keeps the side walls away from you, making the tent walls vertical all around you. 2 storage netting shelves built into the tent provide more than enough overhead/over-foot storage for multiple items such as our headlamps, both phones, charger battery, and some other small items. With 2 people, we had this tent set up, without instructions, in 7 minutes. On the second test, I assembled it solo and had it fully up in 6 minutes without help. Takedown was even faster, which is always a plus when you're up before the sun and want to get back on the trail quickly. The fabric is thin on this tent (tent body consists of 2 densities of mesh, basically. The floor is then tent material, so spend the extra $49 and get the optional footprint. I can't overstate that enough. This tent, including stuff sack, poles, stakes, and footprint, pack up very easily into the included top-loading compression sack and it packs small enough to easily fit inside of your pack with room for all other necessary gear. It also straps very easily to the outside of your pack, and packs short enough to not stick out past the sides of your pack.Total weight with stuff sack, tent body, rainfly, footprint, tent pole set, and all 10 ground stakes came out to 4.07lbs on my digital scale. Again, a little heavier than some, but lighter than many. 4 lbs truly is not bad at all for having everything you need for a full setup.

Good all around 2-person backpacking tent!
I have two of these tents, and have used them for backpacking in Sierra's, Teton's, and Glacier NP... Total use is probably 30+ nights, and they are still holding up well. Mostly fair weather, but I did have a couple rain events. They are easy to set up (even the deer in the pic shown can do it!), and with some added thought (beyond a deer's skill level), they can be set up in rain to minimize inside wetness. They aren't the lightest option, but I think they offer a good balance of weight/durability/price (I initially had a little sticker shock, but after 30 uses with no issue, the shock goes away :) ). I highly recommend! Note: The deer in the pic was seeking trekking poles, and soon after pic was taken, scored one from a backpacking neighbor... Funny stuff! My 12/13 yo daughters actually set up that tent. "Deer in pic" Taken in Glacier, Head of Glenn Lake; Blue sky background in 4-pass loop, near Aspen CO; tent next to be tree was in Inyo Nat forest, John Muir Trail. Intent is not bragging with my pics... I just really enjoy backpacking. All are incredible destinations, and good times of my life! See you on the trail!Update: After 4+ years, these tents are still in great shape. Used them for 5 nights in Desolation (Tahoe) in 2019 and this year at Wind River Range. I did have to repair one... Loaned it to my daughters boyfriend while car camping and one of the vent lines was tripped on, ripping the stitching on the tent. I repaired it easily though with outdoor thread (think heavy fish line) and a backstitch. Back in business! I knew the risks of car camping... These tents are for backcountry only ; ) 4th pic posted is in the Cirque (Wind River Range). Take care!2021 - Had to replace pole elastic. Elastic is a luxury but doesn't maintain elasticity forever! I committed a sin and didn't test my gear to find this problem prior to hitting the trail... Luckily, wasn't pitching tents in inclement weather. Solution in backcountry: Had to cut out the elastic to allow poles to fit together, and then had to mark poles so that I could recall how they fit together remaining nights. Long term solution: Bought 50' of elastic cord and replaced it on both tents. Note: I actually came up about 2' short (umm... it happens ; ) )See you on the trails!

First impression: the wide open stuff sack is terrible.
I just unpackaged this and set it up in the living room. I bought this Hubba Hubba NX along with the footprint to replace my 22 year-old Sierra Designs Meteor Light CD (discontinued model) and footprint. That tent served me very well but finally lost it's ability to shed water. I did not like any of the newer 3 season backpacking tents that SD makes as they are essentially two pole domes. In my experience this type of tent simply does not hold up to strong winds in rain storms that are common in my area. Setup of the Hubba Hubba NX was easy. The tent has nice aluminum grommets to attached to the pole ends. The fly does as well. It would have been nice for the footprint to include grommets for the poles to insert. Another feature that is missing is color coded corners. With a rectangular tent and rectangular footprint, it will be very difficult to tell which side of the footprint should be up in the dark. I added orange masonry string to corresponding corners on each of the footprint and tent, so that should solve the problemi. Still the foot print lacks the security of grommets for the tent poles to be inserted. I hope the tent and footprint prove to be as weather resistant and durable as my Sierra Designs tent was. Time will tell.

Beautiful tent
I've had this tent for five years, been on four two week long solo expeditions in the mountains, as well as several 3 nighters on Dartmoor. It still performs as well as the day I bought it.It's a three season tent. The fly sheet leaves a fairly large gap at the bottom, which really helps cut down condensation, especially if there is a breeze. Otherwise there are plenty of venting options. It kept me alive in a snow storm in the Pyrenees, but I did have to pile snow around the base of the fly sheet to keep the warmth in. It stands up to wind well also.If you're looking for ultra light, look elsewhere. It's not too heavy though, and for the extra weight you get bags of headroom, and plenty of space to spread out, especially if you're not sharing.I really like how bright the tent is inside. It's a great place to hang out at the end of a long day on the trail.

Stitching failed and poles bent in great weather and only 3 uses.
Poles have bent and stitching has failed in the crossbar area after 3 uses in great weather. Contacted seller but not heard back.
