This little guy is awesome! I like cool environments, I don't like hot stuffy places, or just extreme heat in general. I'm pretty comfy 72 degrees F and down. I like it much cooler when I sleep, in the winter I keep my house at 62F to sleep, and about 66 during the day. That's to cold for a lot of folks, and at work the average temp is probably about 75 which is to hot for me. Also when I travel I find hotel rooms only go to like 68F or so. That's where this guy comes in. At work in my cube this MyChill is so nice, on low it produces a nice trickle of cool air and is really quiet. I would say its about 10 degrees cooler then its air intake. If that is not doing for me, I can turn it up another notch to produce a decent flow of cool air, its a little louder but nothing to bad. You simply fill the tank with cool water and turn it on. The little filter inside has water flowing through it which water cools the air nicely. Think like a water cooled computer basically. In fact the fan is much like a tower PC fan. An LED indicator light shows when the water supply is low, and it auto shuts off when out of water. I also like you can adjust the air flow vents, I can aim it my face or torso on my desk which is great. Its a little bulky for travel by air, but you can take it, otherwise if I drive somewhere to stay the night its going with me. I'd sit this by bed side for a nice flow of cool air on me at night. Would be great for camping also if you have an AC power outlet you can use, or generator. This lasts about 3-4 hours on one tank depending if you run on low or high. All these crazy people are dressed for Siberia and looking at you funny and YES, it IS just you, so you can’t turn down the heat even though you’re suffocating.Or you wake up in the middle of the night and the insane person next to you has stolen all the blankets and THANK GOD FOR THAT because it is a flippin’ oven in here and you’re sweating unto dehydration.Yeah, me too. But I am the hormonal weirdo no more (well... you know what I mean) because seriously, this thing rocks!Now, don’t get all excited. Set your expectations.This is a PERSONAL air conditioner. It is intended to cool your person, and it does.This is NOT a ROOM air conditioner. It is NOT intended to cool the whole room, and it does not.If you want to cool the whole room, buy a portable room air conditioner. Do not buy this product and then leave a bad review saying “This product did not do what it was not intended to do!”That’s like yelling at your cat for not playing fetch. Meanwhile, your cat is looking at you like “Yes? Can I help you?” Which you totally deserve. Because, come on. Cat.Conclusion:If you are constantly baking hot, yes, this will help and is absolutely worth the price, buy one immediately and be happy.

I am on medication that makes me extremely hot even in the winter time. The company/office I work at keeps the thermostat between 75-78 degrees. I literally sweat at work. I found this little miracle on Amazon and it has literally been a God send! I don't think I would survive without it. I set this on my desk between 1-2 feet away from me and it keeps me cooled down in that atmosphere. I marked it from a 5 to a 4 because you have to fill the tank up about every 3-4 hours. Besides that it is darn near perfect. For those giving this a 1 or a 2 rating it is not meant to cool a room or your apartment. It is for your personal space like a cubicle or on a night stand faced at your head. I am thinking about buying another one just to have a spare!

I love this air cooler as it is able to cool the air-temperature without mixing too much moisture like many other brands, which you are worry-free from damaging your electronics (laptop) when placing it nearby. At the same time, when a dedicated power supply is provided make everything more convenient and you don't need to worry rather you under power or overpower in voltage that will damage your device and make it can't last long. Indeed, there should be an Optional Air-Intake Dust Filter available for purchase to reduce the amount of dust and potential insects got caught into the machine.

I’m trying it for the first time. My apartment has a wall ac unit in the front room, and the windows of my back bedroom cannot support a window unit - refuse to pay the electric company running the wall unit all night and not have a cool bedroom here in FL.Had a coupon so I got a good price. I’m trying it out now - I work late and wanted to have it set up now. As far as I can tell,so far it’s cooling nicely. It only has a 4’-5’ cooling area, so it’s perfect next to the bed.It’s quiet and easy to use, and if it keeps me cool at night (I’m not big into a/c, just want to get the humidity down and cool of a bit) I’ll revise the rating.

There's nothing holding this unit pieces together. Literally there's 3 pieces to this machine. The base that holds the cold filter in place. The body which is just a case and then there's the water jug part where you fill it with water. No clamps no snap on nothing. It was a problem for me cause I wanted to face the unit down for my reasons but since nothing is holding it together I had no choice but to just sit it down. Good luck if u drop it btw. Pieces will be everywhere lol

The media could not be loaded.  They must keep the heat at 98 degrees in my office at my University job (with apparently no change coming in the near future) so I ordered this on a whim. WELL, let me tell you... I got it unboxed, filled up the tank, and plugged it in right next to me on my desk with the vent aimed right at my face and BAM...problem solved. Seriously, it's a great little product. If you run it on high the water tank does deplete in a couple hours, but heck, it's worth a quick trip to the break room sink for a quick top-off. (And who doesn't enjoy a couple minutes break from their desk?) Go for it!

Horrific, a cheap fan is much better. I returned this the next day.

I regret wasting my money on this. It turns out to be a breeding ground for mold, almost impossible to keep clean due to bad design, and a money sink because cartridge needs to be changed frequently.CARTRIDGE IS EXTORTIONThe part that "wears out" and needs replacing in the machine? It lasted ONE MONTH. Without it, the machine is just a noisy, weak fan.Cartridge costs twice as much as the entire machine did while on sale. But from other reviews here I thought it would last the four months of summer, so I thought it might be worth the money for one summer of cool air.After one month the "needs replacement" red light came on. When I took it apart to see if maybe it was a glitch and putting it back together fixed the problem... It had mold on it - big fluffy spores of it. So now I knew where the weird smell had been coming from.If you're desperate and decide to buy this machine: take it apart every night, wash what you can with soap and water, let it dry completely before using again. Bleaching daily might also be a good idea but you'll be smelling bleach whenever it's running.DESIGN IS UNCLEAN AND HAZARDOUSThe upper tank that you refill with water has an awkward L shape and cannot be washed with a bottle brush or cracked open. Your best bet is to rinse it with soapy water daily and hope it's enough.The lower tank can be washed very well, but it is completely open so you have to be careful to not ever bump the unit backwards or that water *will* splash into the electrical motor of the fan. Don't use this where children or pets might be running around or bumping into things. Don't plug it into the same place you have your computer or anything important plugged in. Absolutely do not move it once you put water in - let it run out of water, or you could move it and wet the fan motor then when you plug it in have problems.The only part I could clean of the machine that sucks up the water and drips it into the cartridge was the mesh constantly in contact with the water in lower tank. I took out the mesh and washed it, but I could do nothing to clean the tubing that had been sucking up slimy water.BUT DID IT WORK?The concept of a fan misting water directly at you does work. It was a few degrees cooler directly in front of the machine than a few feet away.It would be equally good, more sanitary, and less waste of money to buy a quiet and more powerful fan, and keep a misting bottle of water on hand to spray yourself every few minutes.

Mi piace perché è piccolo e compatto . Funziona discretamente . L'aria fresca arriva ed è molto mirata quindi a volte lo allontano per evitare la sensazione di aria fresca su un punto concentrato che può diventare alla lunga fastidioso . Come nota negativa ho capito che il filtro andrà sostituito con il tempo . Spero non speculino troppo sul prezzo . Alla fine son contento di averlo: consuma poco e aiuta nei mesi estivi .

I was tentatively optimistic about this little unit. I had read a lot of good reviews and didn't have my expectations too high, but even so, this is more of a glorified fan than anything else. It didn't really provide any air conditioning like cooling like I thought it would, it mostly just moved air around. If that's all it does, there are bigger and better fans that will keep you cooler better. Disappointed in how it worked, but oh well. Too good to be true I guess.

This air cooler works well as a humidifier and very small fan.It’s easy to use and is quite compact. However, if you live in a region with higher humidity it won’t help cool your space.
