Tomee Charge Cable for Wii U GamePad

It works great. My dog chewed up my old wiiu cord and I went to every store in my town and the surrounding area too, trying to find a replacement cord. Yet no one sold them and couldn't even order them. Finally one store said they could but it would be around 40$ plus shipping. I said he'll no, then while buying my kindle books I thought I would check if they sold the cord. Not only did they but even with shipping it was under 10$. I couldn't believe it. I thought why not. Two days later my wiiu is working again. I recommend this to anyone who needs a charger. Works on the tablet and the charger station

The Wii U Charge Cable for GamePad by Tomee was a lifesaving replacement for my house. Our cat decided to have a snack of the charging cable that came with the Wii U system that Santa brought. It was winter break and bad weather so there were kids in the house, unable to go outside and little to keep them occupied. The charge cable was the right price and with Prime, arrived in two days. This cable is much thicker than the original one and is very long so that my son can use his gamepad while it is charging. These replacement cables can run $20 to $25 at Target or Best Buy so I was thrilled to find a reasonably priced replacement. I was a little concerned when we first opened the charge cable as it didn’t look exactly like the one that had been chewed through by the cat. But I quickly realized this one was better as it plugged into any USB adapter which made it easier to use. Once again amazon comes through with exactly what I need at the price that meets my budget and gets it to my house in less than three days.

It did its job perfectly, up until today, when my son broke it. That's not the cable's fault, though. He's just rough with his toys and electronics. The cable was a durable USB cable, which I plugged into my old HTC Inspire phone charger, and it charged the WII U Gamepad effectively. I'm just glad I bought multiples, because I knew this would happen. Definitely worth the price, considering the lifespan.

I have my Wii U sitting on top of my main gaming PC, which is connected to my main monitor via HDMI. Since my surge protector has 6 plugs, three being taken up by my monitors, one for my PC, one for my Wii U, and one for my backup drive, I used to have to disconnect my backup drive just to charge my Wii U gamepad.This cable is exactly what I wanted-- no, exactly what I NEEDED! Now I charge my gamepad using the cradle dock on my desk through a USB port on the back of my PC (my PC stays on longer than my Wii U, so I plugged it into my PC so it charges when I'm not using my Wii U). Ever since I got this cable, I've never had to worry about my gamepad running out of battery. My setup is perfect now, thanks to this simple, inexpensive cord. Plus, taking my Wii U to a friend's house is easier now since I only have to carry one brick cable instead of two!Oh, and the cable is really long too. If I wanted to I could just plug this into one of my USB wall chargers and still have plenty of cable left to use it at my desk comfortably.

Hi All,I recently picked up this cable as a way to charge my gamepad, but found it was for the Wii U Pro Controller. The product description and image provided was a bit misleading. Even though it was not what I expected, I did need it.I use this for Either the Wii U Pro Controller or for charging my PS3 controller. It works well, no drop outs, but the cable was kinda stiff. Maybe a bit of a negative but it needed to be addressed.Overall I think it was a good buy.

In line with a lot of other reviewers, this cable does not supply enough juice to keep the gamepad on with full brightness and charge. I have it plugged into one of my most powerful USB to AC plugs and It can maintain power but the charge light turns on and off and the screen goes bright and dim (just has it would if you plugged in the Nintendo AC adapter and unplugged it). To resolve this and charge while playing I have to have the brightness on the gamepad set to 1 or 2 (out of 5). Which really isn't that big of a deal for me.The cable I received was 10ft just as is says on the product image which was a pleasant surprise. 10Ft is really nice.The GamePad end is snug and fits nicely. It doesn't wiggle around like the Nintendo AC plug does. I like this fit. It's not too tight and not too loose. Feels just right to me.Overall this is a pretty decent product. I use mine on my couch about 10-15 feet from the console and TV plugged into a USB/AC adapter. I'm considering purchasing another one for the gamepad charging stand.

You are reading this because you recently discovered how useless your new overpriced Wii U is with a dead Gamepad and/or how a charging station versus a cable (plugged in) is less useful when your battery runs out. You can't even access the Wii U menu without the Gamepad. I.E. it needs to be charged/charging and always on. Nintendo are jerks. Even with their 97 different proprietary inputs, this little 7 dollar USB cable is the bomb. A perfect replacement for the white Wii U whose plug in charger dies out at a whim and for the black deluxe where the charging station becomes useless because your battery is dead and you can't play with the gamepad when charging. Low and behold the perfect solution for both. Tomee I hope you make a billion dollars off this simple but awesome cable. Yes you can plug this cable right into the front of your Wii U and charge and maintain playing or if you really want, simply plug it into a USB wall charger like for a iphone/ipad/kindle etc. Nintendo is so dumb, they could have produced this cable themselves and easily charged 20 bucks for it. I mean think about it, why with 4 USB inputs would you need separate a plug in wired charger? Duh Nintendo, get a clue.

This works better than I thought it would. It doesn't charge the Gamepad very fast (like the wall charger does) but it does at least keep it from dying if it needs it. It's worth the money because it has better reach and portability than the wall adapters.

Nintendo WiiU OEM's are not available, and this is the best alternative in the market. Built quality is good, it works well and it's affordable.

Best 3rd party cable on the market for WiiU. (I've tried a few others which can be hit and miss). But the Tomee ones always work perfect, and are much longer than the ones that Nintendo sell (which are surprisingly quite hard to find). I can definitely see why so many people gave this product 5 stars.

No problems, works well and is extremely long. Perfect for plugging in my Wii-u game pad to charge while I play games at the same time and it's also nice that a person can use any kind of standard "back piece" of something like a phone to plug it into the wall, very convenient.
