Dell Mini HDMI to VGA Adapter

Purchased this after a star tech mini hdmi to vga adapter failed after four months. I'm accustomed to using their dvi to vga adapters as well as their vga and dvi cables. I've never had one fail me yet. I've had this adapter in the field for about three months now. So far so good. I'm using it with an evga nvidia video card with two dvi ports and one mini hdmi inside of a dell optiplex 9020. This adapter does not fit properly with the two dvi cables plugged into the video card. I had to mcguyver it and remove the base that surrounds the mini hdmi connector in order for it to fit. So beware if you have a three port video card! I don't recommend you removing the base but I was in a pickle and had to do it to get it working. Otherwise it works fine. Third monitor appears great. Gives the full resolution with no ghosting.
