Very, very smoky aroma and flavor
I've been intrigued by the idea of a smoky tea, but find this to be overly smoky in both scent and taste. To the point where it obscures all other scents and tastes that you may be trying to enjoy. For hard-core lapsang souchong lovers only.

#3 out of 3 teas in my taste test.
I'm fortunate to have many oriental markets around me. I was buying black tea in tea bags, coworker told me to buy loose leaf. I then found out loose leaf is a 1,000 times better than the best tea bag. 1st one I bought was 13 miles away, china black tea NO. 8320 Lapsang Souchong. I loved it. The store 5 miles away was out. The 9 mile away store didn't carry it. I didn't want to drive the 13 miles. so I ordered off amazon. 1 teavivre, 1 Harney and son and then I did the 13 mile trek to get the NO 8320. I made all 3, measured everything out, timed everything the best I could. The Harney and son had darker leaves than teavivre, but they were smaller. The NO8320 had the dark leaves and the largest leaves. teavivre has a delay in the taste and then a weird after taste. The NO 8320 and the Harney and son, the taste was immediate. I can't explain why. It happened every time though. I ate crackers between to try to clean my palate, tasted the teas in various orders didn't pay attention to what was what. but every time they hit my mouth I knew what they were. Someone could probably explain scientifically why and what is going on, I cannot. I give teavivre 3 stars, Harney and son 4 stars and NO. 8320 5 stars. On a side note. I make kombucha and no matter what loose leave tea you use, you get superior growth over the tea bags. I'm sorry this is so long. I just wanted you to know there isn't anything "wrong" with the tea it just doesn't carry it's weight compared to the other 2. I'm tired of 5 stars review talking about somebody's cat or speedy shipping. Speedy shipping gives the shipper 5 stars, not the product. Good luck to all.

Thank You TEAVIVRE!
Absolutely the WORST Lapsang Souchong I have ever had. No smokiness at all. ZERO. NOTHING. So bad that I wonder if its a different tea that has been mislabeled, and to top it off, this item is NON RETURNABLE. Worst buying experience I have had with Amazon Prime. If you are looking for Lapsang Souchong, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Caveat Emptor.UPDATE:A pleasant surprise arrived in the mail a few days ago that was quite unexpected. I received a replacement package of Lapsang Souchong DIRECTLY from Teavivre in China, free of charge.I can only surmise someone from the company saw my very negative review and elected to right a wrong.Upon opening the package I could tell immediately THIS was the Lapsang Souchong I thought I had originally ordered.I now do believe the original package I received was mislabeled. This Lapsang Souchong is EXCELLENT, with a wonderful lingering smoky pine aroma.Because TEAVIVRE made such an effort to ensure customer satisfaction I will definitely be buying from them again!I recommend this Lapsang Souchong and TEAVIVRE wholeheartedly and without exception.

Good - mild.
Packaging, delivery, and customer touch were all very good. The smokiness is on the mild side.

it’s organic — and very fresh
This tea is not quite what I’m used to in a lapsang souchang. But the fact that the tea is organic is a plus. I’m also impressed that the tea has a best-by date on the package. It won’t hang around in my cabinets getting old, which happens with too many of the teas I buy impulsively. To jazz this up a bit, I add some classic black tea leaves to the pot.

Not the best smoked tea I have had for sure
I liked the smoky flavor but other than that I could not feel any other flavor or taste, you don’t want your tea to tase like ash... you want to experience deep layers of flavor.... and I guess the reason is the original tea leaves did not have a good quality before processing....

Good tea, but not smokey
The tea tasted good, but it didn't taste or smell like Lapsang Souchong, which has a smokey campfire aroma, and a piney after taste. This tasted earthy, and not even a little bit smokey. I honestly wonder if I got the right product.

superb flavor.
This is stellar Lapsang Souchong. Their packaging is also great and keeps the product airtight. I add this to a Russian Caravan Tea blend I get from the UK and it really pumps the volume in flavor and yumminess. Smoky for sure - but that's what I am looking for.
