Works perfect

After about a year and a half of use, this item intermittently failed to charge the smartphone. Troubleshooting indicates that the problem is a bad connection where the cable enters its device connector. I will add that this charging cable was frequently used to charge the smartphone at the same time that the smartphone was being used, resulting in more wear and tear at the connector than otherwise. The charging cable still works if I lay the device and the device end of the charging cable on a flat surface, adjust the cable until charging begins, then leave it alone until the charge is complete.UPDATE (April 2021): I purchased this item again because I like two of its features (length and flexibility) which will be helpful when traveling. I plan to use this cable only when traveling because I have a shorter, stiffer (plastic covered) cable which suits me best when at home. I also upgraded my rating from three stars to four stars because there is a real possibility that the previous cable/smartphone owner (my wife) simply wore the cable out.

I took my time and searched for the most compatible cord for my Samsung Galaxy 5. I know, I know, the phone is old, but I have a lot of stuff on it that I need to transfer, download or forward that I haven’t done yet. I have purchased a replacement cord before out of a big box retailer and every few minutes, I would receive a prompt stating that my phone wasn’t charging due to the cord not being the “original” cord. This cord that I purchased on Amazon works perfectly for my needs. It charges the phone (so far) and I haven’t received any unnecessary prompts while the cord is attached. Also the cord is longer then the original Samsung cord which I like. Last, the best feature is the braided material which will allow the cord to last longer and be more durable. Oh yes, I almost forgot to state that it charges within 10-15 minutes max to 100% from 19% which is pretty fast. I would recommend this cord for Samsung Galaxy 5 phone users.

My original Samsung charge cord was chewed up by my cats (jerks).So I bought one at Best Buy, one of the knock off, store brand ones? It worked for a while but I didn't realize how much BETTER it would work if I got the proper cord and also, a few different features...PROS of this one vs the Best Buy knock off:- fits my S5.- Fabric braid isn't as tasty, according to Stinky the Cat (Cord Killer Cat).- I DON'T HAVE TO HUG A WALL! I thought 3 ft was enough, really, but I didn't realize how much I missed with the length of the original (and this) cord.- FAST. It doesn't take long to charge, and it holds better in my phone: the Best Buy cord would come unconnected, or wouldn't charge fast enough to keep my phone alive (I couldn't be on the bluetooth headphones and leave it plugged in to charge while on the phone/listening to music). This one charges very quickly, and I can leave it plugged in for about 15 minutes and have almost 50% or more battery back, and it doesn't "run out" as quickly as it would with the other cord.CONS:-None, so far. I will update this review should any pop up, but it's been almost a month and normally, I'm so rough with things that if there's going to be a problem, it's already happened!

This cable charged my old battery in my old Samsung Galaxy Note 3 while it was plugged into my laptop. However, it was purchased because I required a Samsung brand rather than the useless UNIVERSAL cables to fit and actually stay in my old Samsung Galaxy Note 3 so that I could then TRY to move photos off my old Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to my laptop. The old Samsung Galaxy Note 3 replacement charging cable I had, continued to come loose and I was not able to do anything with the older charging cable. I haven’t yet had time to try to move the photos to my laptop, but the possibility is looking so much better than it was before this purchase. I also haven’t yet opened the phone to replace the battery with the new Galaxy Note 3 battery also received. (Baby steps…) THANK YOU!!!

I always want to use the products I buy before writing an immediate review. Obviously if you just get it and it works fine. It doesn't really gauge how long the product will last. I've had this charger for about 6 months now and I love it. I throw it haphazardly in my purse and it may get a little tangled with my other junk, lol, but it's never hard to untangle and the bending of the cord does not affect the quality of charging. This is a fast charger and obviously I got a fast adapter that would hold up with the charger and I can be zero to 100% in about an hour. Normally with standard chargers and adapters it can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, so this is a nice difference. When I bought this one, I bought another braided cord charger as well to compare how each would hold up against each other for the price, but unfortunately the other one didn't hold up to my wear and tear. So, I've odered another of these

I purchased this cable for my Galaxy S5 almost one year ago. Overall, it is a solid product. The 6 foot length is perfect and keeps me from having to loom over an outlet to use my phone while it is charging. It charges my phone very quickly and the cord is still in excellent shape, no fraying whatsoever. I only give it 4 stars because 4 months into using it the metal connecter on one side started to bend and the connection to the phone started getting loose. It will easily fall out if you don't have it secured properly. So....the product details regarding no loose connection or won't fall out is not exactly accurate. For the price it is still a worthy purchase.

These cords do seem a bit hardier then any of the rubber/silicone options out there and are charging well. I'm worried I just jinxed myself for writing this review but so far I like them better than the original materials that always wear and dangerously expose the wires.
