I have a small form factor PC, the HP S01-pF2013w. It serves me well as a streamer/entertainment computer. Two issues though, it had slow USB (see my review on the FebSmart 2-port USB3 card) and I accidentally yanked the HDMI cord and damaged the built-in HDMI port. Not wanting to write-off the computer, I decided to try the Maxsun Radeon RX550 video card to salvage the situation. As advertised, the card was an easy fit in the PCI 16 slot. HP does not give much room between the slot and the power supply, but the Maxsun said it'd fit with only a 19mm space, and sure enough it did. That leaves a few mm's to spare, which I hoped would be enough for the fan to keep the card cool. The added HDMI and DisplayPort are unobstructed by the case. Just for grins, I decided to see how the stock Intel UHD 630 performance stacked up against the Radeon RX550. Using PassMark's PerformaceTest suite v 11.0 2D and 3D graphics tests, the Radeon came out the clear winner. It was visually obvious as the tests ran, I've included a pic showing the two results side by side. Power consumption was a concern, as was temperature. It's a little computer with a small power supply. Using NZXT I was able to see the power consumption and temperature under idle, movie streaming, and hard-core 3D-rendering tests. At idle, the Radeon only uses 4W. While streaming, 6W at 126 F. 3D rendering pushed the card, it went to 24W at 172F. A little warmer than I like, but sustainable. My concern about limited airflow is gone. The only problem I had was the AMD software. Windows 11 immediately recognized the card and it worked fine, but I later downloaded the AMD Adrenalin software just to make sure the full ability of the card was available. Unfortunately, that made it unstable - sometimes the screen would black-out and require a reboot. After I uninstalled the Adenalin software and only loaded the AMD Radeon driver it settled down and there've been no problems since. Verdict: The card works. There was a very noticeable improvement in performance compared to the Intel UHD 630, and the card uses very little wattage and keeps its cool. The Radeon RX550 will not win any awards and is by no means a graphics monster, but it does elevate an underpowered stock system from abysmal to mid-level graphics performance. I've no regrets.

I bought this video card to improve the video performance of our dell precision 3450 small firm factor computer. The video was previously lagging and sticking when streaming UHD video, and when I checked task manager I found that the built in video GPU was running at 100% capacity. Dell recommended an AMD 550 half height card for this machine, so I purchased this one. It was easy to install, and I just downloaded the drivers from AMD's web site, which was easy to do (there were none in the box). When I plugged the monitor into this card, the video quality was excellent, and task manager said that the video GPU was at about 50% capacity when streaming and displaying UHD video. Job done! I should also not that the video card in the box was fitted with a mounting bracket for a full height slot, but the included a half height bracket which was easy to swap out. This was a good purchase - highly recommended.

First, the bad. I prepped the computer and installed the card. The computer would load partially, and then reboot over and over. I assumed the card was bad and Amazon sent another. The good. The second card went in like a dream. The computer restarted without problem. I downloaded the drivers from AMD. There was an immediate boost to all games. Some games wouldn't even play before. For the price and power requirements, I highly recommend this card. Even though the first card was bad, Amazon had the replacement here in 2 days.

At my workplace I needed this half-height graphics card for a PC running a graphics intensive application that was practically unusable using the on-board graphics on the PC. Installing this card resolved the performance issues. I was pleased enough with that purchase that I bought one for my home computer to resolve some lag issues when playing 4K video on my old PC. This card resolved that issue, too. I don't know how this product benchmarks against the completion. I didn't do any testing like that. I simply had performance issues with applications that needed a graphics card performance boost. The price was right on this graphics card and I found that it worked fine to resolve those issues. The only issue that I had was that the package came with no English instructions, no drivers and no software. I am an IT technician by trade, so I had little trouble finding the right drivers and software online. On one PC, Windows Update found the drivers, but I still had to download and install the correct version of the Radeon software. On the other PC I had to download both the drivers and software. So, this wasn't much of a problem for me, but it may be more than a novice PC users can deal with. This product did what I needed and I've had no problems with it either at home or at work. It gets a 5 star rating from me even though I would have expected better instructions for installing the product and obtaining the correct drivers & software.

Crashed my PC numerous times. Returned it. No more PC crashes. I'll stay with my on board graphics of my CPU for now.

Success! I have an HP TE01-3254 i7 12700 Desktop with PCIe3 x16 intel iris XE 770 UHD integrated GPU. I edit HD and 4k video. Long story short- This Maxsun 4gb PCIe 3 x8 card RAdeon RX550 works as a dedicated video encoder for Vegas Pro 20+. I installed the drivers from Windows update! very importaint. The AMD driver from AMD is problematic for me. SO I used windows update 22h2 to install the drivers from Device manager. I am using the intel HDMI output to my monitor. It must be enabled in bios! this will aloow you to have both gpus active. I calibrated the monitor on the iris XE output. Vegas and Handbrake utilize the AMD VCE encoders as a standalone hardware encoder. IT is so FAST. Becasue it is not being used as a system output. So I am encoding 1080P 30 in Vegas pro High Quality AMD VCE 5 minute video with fades atransitions and color correction. Average is 80-120fps in about 1 minute for a 4.30 minute clip. Very imressive. The intel tookrealtime to encode. SO I recommend this card for this HP with 310 watt PSU.

It turned a work intended desktop into a decent gaming rig. Video quality is improved, installation was easy.

This is a great card at his performance range. Very stable, very reliable. Been using it almost a year and no problems. Plays Roblox smoothly, newer fancy grafx games can play on lowest setting. But with the form factor and price this is a great deal. Running in a Dell Optiplex 9010.
