Road Angel Halo View Mirror Dash Cam Front and Rear - Rear View Camera for Reversing and Parking

We bought this for my wife's car and had it professionally installed. It was a little disoriented at first since the the rear view is from the camera, not a mirror. We had to submit a recording of an incident not 3 weeks later. I then went onto buy another for my Niece. They should be mandatory IMHO.

I was so super chuffed to be able to test out this Road Angel Halo View, as I have been toying with the idea of getting a dash cam for ages but just haven't got round to it. I have to say I am a bit of a technophobe when it comes to....well anything really lol, but I have to say this looks a really good piece of kit and even I can use it with ease.It fixes onto the rear view mirror and the camera is at the front side. There is then the rear camera that fits with a long wire to the back window. Now the only slight problem we found with this is that when you open the boot, it tends to pull the wire out on a hatchback. Not a major problem, more just a slight inconvenience.The rest of it is awesome and I am so impressed with it. I really like that even when it is switched on whilst driving, you can still see your rear view mirror and the added bonus of a reversing cam is superb for me as I am not known for being able to reverse park very well lol.The picture quality is spot on and I feel so much more at ease every time I get behind the wheel that this is recording everything. I haven't even looked into it yet but I think having a quality dashcam such as a road angel, your insurance comes down a little. Just another bonus of having an item like this in the car.I really like this dash cam and wouldn't hesitate to give it the full 5/5. Great stuff

Good item but think was a return as the first one rear camera was missing then second one the prizing tool and the holding clip for the rear camera was missing but made it work as couldn’t be bothered to return that one as well communication was poor waiting at least 24 hours to answer each message

Attention, I have found a situation that I would like to explain to those interested so that you can know what to do if you come across a situation like that.It is a fact that many believe that USB outputs have the same power, the truth is that this is completely wrong.This Road Angel Halo View,2K 1440p Dual Mirror Dash-Camera,1080p Reversing Cam,10" Touch Screen, is an example of the device that does not work if the electricity supplied via USB is higher than recommended.So, I come to ask you to use the supplied components, if, however, you want to use component that were not supplied, you should make sure that it has the correct power, if the power is slightly above the recommended what can happen is that the camera works, but does not work correctly.One of the ways to test whether it is working properly is to check that the rear camera turns on automatically and the yellow lines appear, if the lines do not appear check the power before making modifications to your installation.As for the camera I am of the opinion that it is worth 5 stars for the quality of construction, image quality and ease of use, both in the App and directly on touch screen.Recently it saved me from a horrible situation that happened to me, because of this camera I was able to present the front and rear videos that clearly proved what really happened.

Just worked for one day and the next day started to reboot every minute and I did reset it as costumer service advised me, but the problem still there, so I had to return it.

The cam is great. Having both front and back recording at the same time is wicked. After installing to my rear view mirror. Got the cam all lined up and perfect. When the screen switches off - the rear view mirror is at a crazy angle. There is no way to straighten the camera that points out the front - only move around - not twist. Not sure if this is a faulty device, but I’m having to sacrifice having the mirror wonky and rotated to account for the front cam being aligned.App is dire. Seems to be like a Second thought - just updated to allow this cam to somewhat function as it says on the apps update records. Not a way to change the time through the device it self, so it is constantly at the wrong time.

A great mirror cam by a reputable brand. Does everything it promises but if you want the street cam you'll need to hard wire it. Very good bit of kit that won't disappoint.

The product doesn't include an SD card. Therefore before it can be used, you need to make an additional purchase. This is somewhat disappointing because the product when bought from other vendors includes this. The card type is indicated on the product. I opted for a sandisk with uhs 3 because I never had a problem with those. Once you install the card, the product works as expected. The app is a bit clunky but it works and you'll need it to set the time and date. You'll also want to upgrade the firmware via the app. It looks like this product may be end of line now but it does boast a 3 year warranty, so if it lasts, it's not a bad purchase. The recording quality is quite good. You can make out a number plate in good conditions and the right distance. Focus seems to be broad and fixed. The rear camera gets good results depending on where you mount it. Inside is best but if you don't have a rear wiper or you mount it outside then the image is as good as a dirty lens can give you. Brightness is easily adjusted when night driving and the recording is quite good. You need to get used to the distance perception in rear view, especially when overtaking as the camera gives you a different viewpoint.
