After a few trips, mine still looks sharp, and the textured finish does a good job of hiding minor scuffs. The spinner wheels glide smoothly and really cut down on the strain of hauling bags through airports and hotel lobbies. The handles feel sturdy and extend easily without wobble. Both the carry-on and the larger checked bag are expandable, which has been a lifesaver when bringing back extra souvenirs or clothing. Inside, the layout is practical with zippered compartments and cross straps that help keep clothes in place. A couple of things to keep in mind: like most hardside luggage, these don’t have exterior pockets, so quick-grab items need to go in a backpack or tote. Also, while the set is lightweight for hardshells, if you really pack the larger case to the brim, it can get heavy fast. Bottom line: A reliable, good-looking set that balances durability, functionality, and smooth maneuverability—excellent for frequent travelers or anyone who wants luggage that holds up well over time.

They're light and the smaller fits inside the medium. But boy they don't look or feel resistant. Not sure what material Samsonite uses, but it's quite thin. Only tine will tell about it sturdiness. Main concern is about its zipper. Oh yeah there's no built-in locker on the carry-on piece.

The Samsonite Centric 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels (Black) 2 Piece Set has been on 3 trips now with me, and the only wear that's visible are a few scuffs on the exterior of the hardside suitcases. This 2 piece set comes with a 24 inch suitcase and a 20 inch suitcase. The 24 inch suitcase has been through airport baggage checks/transport, which is where the scuffs came from. Although there are some surface scuffs to the suitcases, my belongings on the inside have been undamaged thus far. Pros: * 20 inch suitcase fits in the 24 inch suitcase for easy storage when not in use. * 20 inch suitcase fit 4 days worth of clothing and shoes. Could fit more when expanded. * 24 inch suitcase fit 7 days worth of clothing and shoes. Could fit more when expanded. * 24 inch has TSA lock * 20 inch has USB-A port on exterior for easy device charging via battery pack (not included). * Both suitcases are durable, and have withstood airport baggage check/transport. * The storage sleeve for the battery pack can accommodate battery packs as large as 6 inches long by 4 inches wide, but it would be a very tight fit depending upon the thickness of the battery pack. Cons: * The retractable handles can be forced out of their locking positions back into a closed position with some force. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but caught me off guard the few times it did it in the airport. I recommend not pushing these suitcases and only pull them to help prevent this issue. Overall, this 2 piece luggage set from Samsonite has been great for me! I was surprised that my size 12 shoes fit horizontally in the 20 inch suitcase. The USB-A charging port is very handy in the airport when you can't get to an electrical outlet. Please note: The rechargeable battery pack in the pictures does not come with this set! Make sure your battery pack has a USB-A output port to connect to the USB-A cord in the suitcase. I highly recommend this set to all types of travelers.

Very disappointed for this luggage set from Samsonite compared to my previous Samsonite. On it's very first trip, one of the wheels broke off already. The clamshell is also not very rigid, leading to some minor crush damage for items inside. There is also a lot of wiggle in the extendable handle which makes pushing the luggage using it somewhat awkward feeling. I would not recommend.

I bought these suitcases a couple years back as my job involves a lot of travel and I wanted something with a good reputation that I wouldn't have to replace in a few months let alone a year or so. I'm happy to report these things have held up, they've been rolled, dragged, dropped, scraped, kicked, everything short of run over and they're still rolling smooth and resilient as ever. I go through many airports through the US, local and international, and the way they treat your bags varies greatly based on time of year, location, staff, all that jazz. These bags still look brand new and hold everything I need for a short or long trip, there's no worry about the zippers coming loose and it jus lt feels very secure when its all zipped up. You won't regret these whether you need to use them every few days or every few years, it's worth the purchase.
