Best EDC kife I have ever had.
I bought one of these for myself last year and was so impressed with it that I purchased two more for my sons, My wife wanted to know why she was the only one without one, so........The blade is full hollow ground giving it a rather fine edge. The steel is quite tough, has never chipped, can be sharpened to razor sharpness, and keeps an edge well. It is easy to sharpen if you don't let it get real dull, which I never do. It is very flat and fits in my front pocket of loose pants without getting in the way or showing. The blade has enough rocker in it to be useful as a kitchen knife, makes a good camp food prep knife, and I have used it to breast out some big birds. All in all this is my EDC knife. it isn't perfect for anything, it is darn good for most everything, and a couple swipes on a diamond hone keeps it razor sharp.

Awesome knife, better price
I have to admit I was excited about the concept of this knife, its design being a multiple year adaptation from Alaskan guides with super hard Böhler K110, 58-60 HRC semi-stainless tool steel for a blade? OK, I'll bite, I ordered one just before heading out on my annual mule deer hunting trip. The knife arrived on time and the package wasn't damaged in any way. As I unpacked the knife from its box my initial impression was that the knife was plain, oddly shaped and the handle was longer than the short fat blade. The handle is rubberized, a little on the thin side at about 3/8" thick. It's depth and length are perfect as far as my hand goes but I have large hands. The knife comes with a leather sheath and a hand loop. As other reviewers have stated the sheath has a tiny plastic sleeve toward the bottom half on the inside. You can get the blade between the plastic and the leather if you put the knife in just right but it doesn't seem to hurt anything, it's just slightly annoying. I left the hand loop tassel off as I find things like that fairly irritating.I've decided after holding this knife a few times the thinness of the handle isn't a bad thing, it feels plenty sturdy enough and my weight hasn't been enough to snap it by sitting with it in my back pocket. The pattern on the handle is simple and yet highly effective for reducing slippage, the clear trade off being that it's a pain to get clean once blood has accumulated on it.As far as the blade is concerned, the high hollow grind is a nice touch, it's sharp, really sharp. It has an odd dropping slope to the tip of the knife with a decently fine point. After using it to clean and process a couple of game animals I have to say I'm impressed, I deliberately wasn't nice to this knife. It skinned a deer flawlessly, the drop point works amazing for getting under skin but not into the meat. After hammering it through a brisket and all the other processing, this thing is still just as sharp as when I pulled it out of the box. It is semi-stainless though which means it will marr the finish on the steel if your not slightly careful with it, i.e. don't put it away wet or dirty. My only complaint is I'm not sure I like the forced angles the sheath makes you wear the knife at if you put it on your belt. Compared to the rest of the product I figured it was irrelevant. I will be buying more of these for Christmas gifts. I fully recommend trying one of the knives, especially if you're a hunter, they're an amazing deal.

GoTo Game Knife in my Kit
Purchased as my game-processing knife to accompany my ProTool Camp Utility knife in my camping/hiking kit. Very impressed with:1) knife design. It fits PERFECTLY in my hand, it is well balanced and perfectly sized.2) knife construction. The grip sticks to my hand. I tested it with wet hands and the grip seemed to stick even better. UNK how the grip will react to blood or gore. I appreciate the included leather halyard that is sized to fit over the wrist, even if wearing gloves.3) scabbard. quality leather with a plastic insert. The knife is VERY securely held and is canted for comfort regardless where you choose to carry.

Like it
There's no problem with this custom leather sheath, I like it. You can wear it on your right hip, cross draw to the front left hip, and even works on web gear, pack etc. the sheath makes it look like its a fighting knife but the draw is very slow , still i wouldn't wear this near Your local police station. knife and sheath are lighter than you might think, a added bonus for hikers, I took off one star for the handle which is essentially some kind of plastic. Would be great if it was a grippy soft rubber, but it's not, and when you see these photos online that's what you are going to think it is.

LOVE THIS
Amazing: steel, edge, grind, grip, leather lanyard, leather sheath. Just enough belly for fleshing, just enough tip for nipping tendons. This knife has a fantastic balance of features, but what else would you expect from 25 years of research, prototyping finished off with 600 being tested in the field by professional hunters woodsmen foresters and more.in short I love this knife, you will not be disappointed.

High Value Knife
Very ergonomic. Fits the hand well with no fatigue in all grips. Great for processing game and kitchen tasks. Blade steel is pretty nice. Unusual grind that really works. Came sharp and easy to keep a good edge that lasts. This is my first experience with this type of steel and I am impressed. For the price, I think every sportsman should try it. On another note, I have even EDC'd this knife. It is not full tang yet seems tough and is fairly light. Getting it back in the sheath correctly can be tricky sometimes, but I still like it. Very flat and at a nice angle for multiple carry options. High value knife.

I have always been looking for a "worthy" fishing bait knife capable of quickly and safely cutting up handsized fish for bait. This means going through backbones, etc. Most fishing bait knifes are too slim and flimsy for this. This knife is perfect however and the grip works well even for slimed up fish hands. Sharpens easy. I actually glued the knife sheath with Gorilla Glue to the sheath for my pliers (T-Reign Prosheath Fishing Pliers and Sheath with Retractable Tether Combo) and this has worked out well allowing me quick access to both.

Cant beat the quality for this price
Knife is very stout, nice and thick blade with a good edge, I wanted to wait till I field dressed a deer to see if I liked it and it did just fine, stayed nice and sharp and I dressed the whitetail perfect with no problems. The sheath that comes with the knife is of quality and is nice and skinny which is nice with already a bunch of gear on you, handle is great nice and grippy, no complaints so far and I would buy again

Awesome knife, fits in the hand well and I like the unique shape. Excellent sheath as well. I havent had a chance to use it in the field yet but i have no doubts it will serve me well. My one complaint is that it didnt come sharp enough for any kind of real use, but im a bit of a stickler for sharpness.

Great knife. Easy to sharpen and retains edge very well. It was designed for skinning boar so that would be best use for it but it works great on deer and even smaller animals

Looks pretty good
The sheath sucks for belt carry but could go in your back pack. Blade and handle feel and look great. Steel should be good...can't say now. Deer season on Manitoulin in 3 weeks...hopefully will be able to update this review.

I like the blade
I like the blade. The curve assists very well for skinning. The handle is very comfortable in the hand. Where this knife lacks, is in the sheath. I had it looped on my belt and as I went to put it back in, the blade actually went straight through the leg side wall of the sheath and cut me up! Now, I have a knife that always seems to go down that same path, even with my repairs.
