Used definitely meant used in this case.
More used than I would have expected but still decent enough to use for a class.

If you like Marxist propaganda...
Bought this textbook for college, it does a good job of teaching sociology from a decidedly leftist point of view. This is typical of most college textbooks however, and it follows the narrative so I am giving it three stars. If this book could give both sides of even one issue, I would be fine with it but it writes every single chapter to specifically attack Western civilization. On page 159, Henslin compares American treatment of al-Qaeda terrorists to the Holocaust. A paragraph later, describes the beating of a terrorist in Guantanamo, and finishes with the quote "Shades of the Nazis!" The exclamation mark is his, not mine. At least I only had to pay 60 bucks for it, other textbooks can run upwards of 200. If you like Marxist propaganda, this book is for you.

No better deal
I saved a bunch of money--not by switching to Geico--but by taking advantage of Amazon's Textbook Rental program. College online offers etextbooks but I'm old(er) and I like to physically hold and read books. I can flip back and forth easily for information and when I am taking a 4 hour final, I need quick, visual information that only a real book can provide. Whining aside, $29.00 to rent as opposed to $190.00 to buy is a remarkable deal. Oh, and the book was really good too. I enjoyed reading it.

Neatly put together
Loose leaf book, came on time, in good condition! Saved me from spending much more for a book that wouldn't have arrived in time for my class!

Great quality! Entirely unnecessary.
Came in great shape and was WAY cheaper than what my campus' bookstore was charging. Would definitely get another one. Unfortunately I've only used the book twice despite the professor insisting that the book was integral to the course. Go figure.
