Svelte Organic Protein Shake, Banana Creme, 11 Fl Oz (Pack of 8)

I drink nuritional shakes for a medical condition when I can’t eat solid foods and to keep up my nutrients so I switch between Vega One and Svelte. I love Svelte because of the convenience of it being pre-made and needing to refrigerated only after opening which makes going out easier. I also love the different flavors they offer and the fact that they created a variety pack. They all taste delicious. The first time I heard of this brand was right after a procedure and I couldn’t eat or drink anything due to the pain. For some strange reason I was only able to tolerate Svelte so that’s pretty much all I had for a day and a half. It was a life savor.Because it worked out so well after my procedure I ordered the variety pack not too long ago and had no issue what so ever. All the flavors tasted great and I had no reactions.However, I checked back now and see that the price went up from $26.92 to $44.59 since my previous order?! I added a screen shot of that order. Because of this price change I am now unable to afford this product. That’s a huge disappointment. I’m not sure what prompted this but I hope it changes back soon.

I used to buy these at Sam's Club. Loved it! Now that they jacked the prices up online it's not really worth it to me. Hard to find anywhere else. Walmart does sell 4 packs of the chocolate one and 4 packs of the cap. ones both costing $7 each pack. They stopped selling the vanilla as soon as the prices went crazy.The drinks by the way are AMAZING! Super smooth and really creamy. They are super sweet. Not to me! Even my husband who isn't a fan of sweets enjoys these. I think the Vanilla is absolutely the best flavor. It taste like vanilla ice cream. The cappuccino one is also super delicious. Its not overly coffee tasting either so folks that aren't huge coffee drinkers shouldn't have an issue. The chocolate one is delicious too.

I found this product accidentally. I was googling the word 'svelte' for its spelling. Just under the definition was the reference to Svelte Organic Protein Shakes. I'm not a protein drink person because I have found them to taste mostly like liquid cardboard. Their description of 'made with only the highest quality organic ingredients', however, sent me to their website to check out their product. They had me at 'cappuccino'. I bought the fewest I could to find out if I would like the taste. I will now order the larger number. The cappuccino is delicious. And that's what I'll stay with because I know I'll drink it. Satisfying, both in taste and consistency. No cardboard taste. I'm very pleased with the way the numbers crunch. One of the worst diet fallacies is the whole idea of 'no-fat'. We need some fat for many reasons, and the 7g is perfect in the way it balances with 11 g of protein and 180 total calories. I use it for lunch. So glad I 'accidentally' found it.

This product tastes good and I think it would be good for some people.....However even though I drink 1-2 protein shakes daily as meal replacement and have never had any issues with other brands.....something in this brand (maybe the sweetener) gives me mad diarrhea. Sorry. It's nearly instantaneous. If I drink even half of this coffee flavored one within the hour I'm on the toilet. It rushes through me violently. I like the flavor so I've tried multiple times but the same results happen.I have tried the Banana Cream Flavor of this brand and I don't experience the same laxative effect intensely though there is a mild discomfort in digestion so I'd recommend that one instead.It does taste great and I've kept the spares around in case I ever really need a laxative funny it works great for that and tastes delicious- but I just can't digest it apparently.

This does not have that slight off flavor that the two major brands in nutritional suppliment drinks have. The flavors are delicious, especialaly the cappucino. Chocolate is probably my least favorite: what a surprise! I like that it's organic; my nutrition consultants stress organic's importance. Calories are not an issue with me, one way or the other. Since I am fighting cancer, nutritional drinks are an important aid for me, and it's great that I now have a product that is a pleasure to drink.

I had been ordering these shakes for almost a year and I only tried the cappuccino flavor. At first they were great on every level from taste to price so I had this product on my subscribe and save. But with the price hike, the latest boxes I received have been subpar. All but one shake had sludge on the bottom despite shaking it prior to drinking. I was so disappointed in this once great product that I have stopped reordering it. If they get rid of the sludge that stays on the bottom, I may reconsider reordering this product again.

I like to drink protein shakes after working out and for some time I've *tried* to use the powdered protein as it's the most economical, but no matter what I end up with grit in the drink and it makes me gag. I was originally just going to get some EAS shakes, which I'd used for awhile a long time ago - before I became an Amazon addict lol - but I found that these were less expensive and had good reviews. That they were organic and vegan was a plus. I got this variety pack and later I got the spiced chai flavor as well. As others have said in these reviews, the cappuccino is hands-down the best flavor. The chocolate flavor is fine but it does have a bit of that aspartame/diet sweetener taste. The vanilla is drinkable but it is waaaaaay too sweet. It tastes like white cake. The spiced chai doesn't have either of those problems but it's a bit bland for being SPICED CHAI. And the cappuccino just tastes awesome. In the future I'll probably mostly get the cappuccino and throw in some spiced chai for variety.
