Got a flat spot on old roller ball on cane Replaced and works great.

I am vision impaired, and use a white cane to travel around town. Sometimes the path is a little too rough and I carry this in my backpack so I can easily switch out to the larger ball which lessons the impact and is good for grassy areas and hiking. it is heavier than a smaller rolling ball though. More useful for constant contact walking.

I need it

This definitely works well when you are walking on a boardwalk, or a sidewalk that has cobblestones or even some dirt walkways. But I find it hard to store in the car because it is a little on the larger side. But that's the price you pay for not having your arm jerked backwards when you hit a raised edge. So it's five stars for what it is! I would highly recommend this for people with low vision like myself.

I bought my first rolling ball tip in 2020. Since then I've worn out two and just bought my third. I use it on my white cane almost exclusively on rough sidewalks in my neighborhood. I've put well over 500 miles total on the two tips I've worn out.

I like to rolling ball. Needs a way to lubricant the bearings after getting wet.

This roller ball for a long cane is solid and durable. I got this as a spare for the eventual moment where I need another. I typically use the cylindrical style tip for constant contact but I'm comfortable with either and I like to limit my need to frantically order things so... Definitely a good buy and something to keep on hand.
