when it works it works fine but is extremely sensitive.had to replace one after not even 5 month, warranty had expired. Needed a all region device otherwise would not have bought it again.

Got this for Christmas. I was worried about the packaging - which was fine. She uses it most nights to watch all her movies.

What I love about this player is that it is so easy to use and the picture of even remastered DVD's is terrific. You can't beat the price for the absolute best quality picture I have seen on my 42 inch LCD. I am very happy with the C500.

Initially, this was my review: We've had no problems in terms of function, but it makes a very loud noise when playing that can be quite annoying during the quiet bits.However, I bought it 13 months ago and it broke. It is out of warranty, and will cost more to get it fixed than to just get a new one. Poor quality.

Simple, reliable, and inexpensive; no bells and whistles to go wrong, and no need for a bank loan to own it!

Our family LOVES this DVD player. It has a lot of really nice features our old one did not, plus it seems to work on all DVD's, foreign or not. It would be cool if it could also play computer CD's or book CD's, though.

The title says it all -- does not play US DVDs. It does, however, play DVDs from Japan. A major disappointment. I should have known -- it's a Samsung.

It was a gift and was easy to install and worked good for handicapped person.
