I own 3 other hearing devices. One of them is an EarCentric that I purchased years ago and it's still good. But I decided that I needed a newer style. The only good choice for me was to get another EarCentric Hearing Aid. My second EarCentric arrived this week and I'm thrilled. The quality is amazing. It's easy to use and the volume adjusts in seconds. It fits comfortably! The other 2 brands I have cannot compare to the quality of this hearing aid. With the other products, I can hear and the volume is loud but I cannot always distinguish what the actual words are. The clarity in EarCentric is amazing. And - there's one more amazing thing. They have actual "caring people" as customer service. I often bungle entering things on my laptop. A wonderful customer service agent stepped in and did the registration for me. Better yet, I was contacted by email by 2 customer service agents who separately recommended videos prepared by EarCentric. I don't often write reviews and I can be hard to please.

These hearing aides have been working well for our family member. She says they have improved her hearing just as much as a previous pair costing easily $5000 more. They charge overnight and the battery easily lasts all day. The customer service has been outstanding; they have checked several times to make sure all is well, and have even sent complimentary maintenance items for the hearing aides to keep them functioning properly. The price is amazing and hard to beat! We are very happy with this purchase.

These are obviously much less expensive than many such devices and around 1/10 of the cost from an audiologist (including their fees). I have some significant loss in the upper frequency’s of my hearing. I am male, age 72 - It’s about typical. It means that high voiced, soft spoken female speakers are hard to understand, especially if there is a noise like the TV on. The Good: The sound quality is pretty good and the noise level isn’t objectionable. I can better understand people’s voices with these. They are relatively easy to set up and control - There are few settings. Although, as you would expect the high (treble) notes are accentuated, music is still enjoyable - the bass notes still come through. I still have decent directionality of my hearing - I can tell what direction the sounds I hear are coming from. The Bad: The default earpieces (red card photo) are small and the tube it attaches to is very small. I had used these a few weeks and one night on taking off my hearing devices, one of the little silicone ear buds that goes into the ear canal came off and stayed in the ear canal. Perhaps I pushed it in too far. In any case I couldn’t get it out, nor could my wife see it. I had to go to an urgent care facility the next morning to have it removed from my ear. While I admit I may have inserted the bud too far into my ear canal, this was kind of scary until it was removed. The root problem seems to me that the default earbud needs to be in fairly deeply to work well, but it can go in easier that it comes out if you go in too far. After I had the ear bud removed, I waited a day and then used the larger tubes and earpieces (yellow background photo) that also come with the device (aparantly for those with more serious hearing loss). These have the advantages of an ear bud that doesn’t have to go all the way into the ear canal to get decent results and the tubes are bigger and easier to work with. (By the way a common pipe cleaner does a good job of cleaning out these tubes). After changing over to the larger earpiece tubes and buds, the devices are a bit more visible than with the default tiny tubes, but it looks to me like hopefully I won’t have to take another trip to the urgent care facility again to get the bud removed from my ear canal. By the way - earwax can be a problem with any hearing device. I carefully clean my ears every night with a Q-Tip (be very cautious) and even so, a little earwax can get into the earbud and tubes and if it does, it will block the sound - especially with the default tiny tubes unless you clean them daily. Update ~ 1 1/2 years Later: I have had no real problems with these since I switched over to the larger hearing tubes and earbuds. They work and are simple to use. I have wanted a Bluetooth version like this and have tried a couple of competing products with Bluetooth. I wanted that to be able to listen directly to my phone for calls or music and to be able to set up the hearing aid response via Bluetooth. One worked pretty well aside from sounding bad on music from my phone (no bass at all) and physically hurt my ear at the end of the day because the shape was not adjustable. The other one didn't work at all to receive Bluetooth audio from my phone and was comfortable enough but because it didn't really fit properly it was prone to squeals (feedback). Compared to those, these hearing aids are great - No Bluetooth but they just work. This has caused me to raise my review by 1 star. Having 3 buttons instead a miserable single button makes them much easier to adjust (On/OFF and Up/Down Volume) The battery life continues to be good. It recharges in an hour or two and I I use it all day and into the evening with no issues. By the way, the larger tubes are 2mm ID X 3mm OD and Amazon sells those cheaply in both silicone and PVC tubing. The earbuds are pretty much standard and Amazon sells those too. Those simple little tubes that go to your earbud allow you to adjust the spacing to your ear canal from your outer ear for your particulars ears. Being able to use a variety of earbuds lets you find a size and style that works best for you. If this manufacturer made a version like this with Bluetooth I would buy them in a heartbeat. And, BTW - When I want to read I just turn off the hearing aids. I think my grandad did that when he was tired of hearing grandma. It is not complete silence but it's a feature.

Having used the product on a long term (2+) years , I can say this is one of the best hearing aid option available on a reasonable budget. My mother did try some of the other hearing aids but still prefers to stick to the same model due to its hearing quality , comfort and easy of use. Would definitely recommend this if your looking for a good BTE model.

These are really excellent hearing aids. They fit my ears nicely. And they're easy to put into my ears and keep there -- without noticing that I'm wearing hearing aids. My wife likes my wearing them. I can hear her better. But the funny thing that I put them in this morning to play tennis and I played much better tennis. I think it was hearing the ball louder that made such a huge difference. I will always wear my EarCentric hearing aids when I play tomorrow and the next day. I play tennis every day. Like any piece of technology you have to learn about them. And the most important thing I have learned is that I need to clean them of wax. Fortunately EarCentric provides a whole bundle of clearning gadgetry and other useful stuff when you buy these hearing aids. But, most importantly, they run a really good online help department. They'll talk you through how to clean your hearing aids. They did yesterday for me. I'm muchly appreciative. I'm a real happy camper. Better yet, I won one set this morning (out of two we played).

Affordable hearing aids that satisfy my needs. They are conveniently rechargeable and retain their charge all day. Customer service was responsive and friendly. I highly recommend this company.

These are not my first hearing aids-let me just put that out there. Although these aids do amplify the volume quite well, anyone with any degree of hearing loss knows it's not always just the volume, it's the clarity, the distinguishing certain sounds from other sounds. That is where these are limited. I still end up "reading" television, still needing closed captions, and needing my husband to repeat himself every time he says anything to me. They ARE quite comfortable, easy to put on, easy directions, But they are not quite up to the job. I'll be contacting customer support and will revise my rating if they are able to help me, but I'll likely be returning them.

I’ve been a hearing aide wearer for well over ten years. I’ve had $2000 (each) hearing aides from audiologists as well as several over the counter brands. The EarCentric easy charge are my current hearing aides. I find them a great value, especially compared to hearing aids that use batteries. I would go through a set of batteries every 4 to 5 days with my last set of hearing aids that use batteries. I’d estimate the cost of around $200 a year for just the batteries. For that price I was able to buy the easy charge hearing aids with money left over. I don’t have any problem with whistling with this new set of hearing aids, and I am very satisfied with them
