VIZIO SB3621n-E8M 36" 2.1 Sound Bar System, Black

Let me start by saying I am far from an audiophile. This review is basically from a novice audio perspective so would best reflect how an average consumer would like this product.I've had this soundbar since February. Over that time I have really grown to enjoy the soundbar more and more. If you are watching general TV shows, say HGTV, the audio quality will not be as immediately noticeable. However, if watching a movie or a TV show with higher audio quality, this soundbar shines. I think the sub really adds to the immersive feel, and it does sound like actual surround sound at times even though this is 2.1. The sub really reverberates at times and I have to turn the volume down to not disturb neighbors in my apartment. I think for the money this is an excellent soundbar. The more I've gotten used to it, the more I notice how much it enhances my audio quality. Movies really sound fantastic on it.Installation was relatively easy. Everything was pretty straightforward and it comes with a couple cable options so you can choose which you prefer. However you may need to go into you TV settings and make sure you set the audio to come through the soundbar. I also use an Apple TV and had to change those settings to the soundbar as well. I had a syncing issue when using my DVD player, and eventually by directly plugging the digital cable from the soundbar to the DVD player got it to sync up. Aside from those quibbles the soundbar works well. I also like the design of the soundbar and the remote control is decent. You can adjust some of the settings (treble, bass) to your liking, but I ended up just going back to the default settings. Overall I am really satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to someone who wants a better audio system but not to spend an outrageous sum on it.

Purchased this to use for the sound in our family room for use with a Samsung 65" TV connected to a Samsung Blu-ray and TiVo Roamio OTA (both via HDMI to the TV)The package arrived on time, and the unit was very-well packaged. Connecting the optical cord was easy, but using the included remote control was a bit less intuitive. The user manual is needed to understand the light codes displayed on the left side of the soundbar. Without the manual, it would be difficult to figure out the settings.Note that we use our TiVo remote as the main remote for the TV, Blu-ray and TiVo unit, we wanted to use it for controlling the soundbar as well. Once we tracked down the code for it, and made a few adjustments in the TV settings to disable it's sound, we had it all operating together relatively smoothly.With our configuration, the soundbar does not auto-power-up with the TV power. However, a brief click on the up-volume from the TiVo remote is enough to turn on the sound bar. When we turn off the TV, the soundbar will auto-power-down after a few minutes (via energy star setting).Sound quality is superior to the basic TV speaker as expected. It provides much more base response and the voice audio is much clearer in movies. Overall, we are very happy with the soundbar and the affordable price.

I'm a bit ticked off. I bought this and had no idea two additional speakers came with it. I bought this for the soundbar and woofer (which was to be wireless). Now I find I have to hook up 2 speakers and the are wired. Now the sound is great. Better than my 4 times as much Samsung bar in living room. The pictures never showed these additional speakers. So a little ticked off about that. The bigger issue is missing parts. I bought this knowing it had some kind of history be ause it showed up as a cheaper option when I went to buy. It said new great shape, I think if I remember correctly box was damaged. It came in a huge box with the original box inside. The box was all jacked up but this is a used system. The wires were unbundled and all together in a rat nest. Then the remote had the batteries inside not sperated.... Someone used this for a little while and decided to return it. That's not the category they listed. Very not cool and unethical in my opinion. Now biggest issue. PARTS MISSING! One cable but kinda of big deal, hdmi-arc cable. The mounts for the unshown speakers listed in manual and a few small other odd and ends. In the end I'm happy with sound but got screwed on this deal. I was better off buying brand new and spending the 6 or 7 dollar difference, not exactly sure amount but wasn't much, I got by buying this unit. I have a hard time on grading this. I want to score badly for being misled but that's not the fault of Visio minus maybe the missing photos of the two small speakers that come with this unit but not shown in any photos. These speakers are not wireless but add a bunch to the overall sound which is fantastic.

I must have spent 20 hours researching sound bars and this one stood out from the rest I read how it sounded as good or better than sound bars 3x the price and how much bass it had and how good the overall soundstage was ... But I kept searching for better. Hours of more researching I concluded there was no better. I had read about sync issues, product eventually not working and the sub unsyncing so I was hesitant.I took the plunge and got this refurb at half price figuring id replace it if it wasnt good or if it stopped working shortly after setup.I set it up tured it on and was pleasantly surprised as well as impressed. The audio was clear and compared to my TV speaker gave me the impression of being in the theater. The sound was much more 3D on the movie Ready Player One.The sub puts out deep and rich bass. You can set the level, I have it at about 3 ot of 10 strength. In a smaller room, but im sure it would do well in a larger roon turned up.Only downside is the remote doesnt ligh up in the dark. On the plus side tons of settings to play with ... Bass / Treble / TruSurroundvand about 8 others.Definitely happy with this purchase.

Item arrived on time and was as described, looks great and the sound is excellent. I had an issue initially when connecting the sound bar to the t.v. via blue tooth where the soundbar would spontaneously disconnect but since I switched to an optical cable set up I have had no issues. Would definitely recommend this product and seller.

Hard to setup. Sound was not that great. Actually returned this sound bar
