Case not waterproof enough.
I had bought this camera for filming watersports and to use as a webcam. The image is satisfactory for the price. On the first day on the beach, the waterproof case, with the touch sensitive guard installed, leaked causing a few drops of water to enter the housing, damaging the camera. I was able to verify the leak subsequently by putting the case inside a mug of water. On reaching out to the Amazon warranty provider, I was told that water damage is the user's reponsibility and attributed the leak to mishandling, despite proof that the case was at fault. And I would expect an action camera's case to withstand manhandling at some point. I would suggest to anyone thinking to buy this camera for watersports to instead buy an inherently waterproof camera. The SJ6 was decent and might have been useful for other activities.
