Wilder Boys Hardcover – May 5, 2015

My 11yr old son loved this book. He said it was full of adventure that kept him glued to the pages. It does have some mature subjects such as drugs, guns, and a mean step dad, but it’s not overly mature. He said that this is one of the best books he has ever written. He also enjoyed the outdoor guide at the end of the book.

My 6 and 8 year olds loved this book. I read it to them but either of them could have muscled through it. (2nd-4th grade reading level I would guess.) If it were up to them they would have had me read all 220 pages in one sitting. A few mature moments like an abusive criminal step dad antagonist, but aside from that it is suitable for most kids.

What a great book to read to my 4th grader before bed. Great story with funny parts, suspense and great ending leaving us with questions. Highly recommend!

Good read but I think a little mature for my son who is 10

It’s so hard to get my 12yo to read Books but this one, he won’t put down! He started reading it two days ago and is almost done. He’s already asking for the second book. Definitely recommend for a middle schooler.

I bought this for my 13 year old who doesn't like to read. I read it to him at bedtime and he loved it, and was thrilled to find out there is a book #2. This book would be great for an independent boy interested in nature and survival skills.

A book for the boys in your life! My 11 year old son is not typically an enthusiastic reader and he absolutely loves this book. He’s homeschooled and I require him to read a book of his choosing for at least 20 minutes each day. He always goes beyond his required time with this book. I’m sure the 2nd book in the series will be next.

The book is a little graphic for younger kids because of the wife beater boyfriend, but a great book with elements of wilderness survival.

Brilliant. My son & I love sharing books, this one had us gripped. A tale of two lads who have to run away from home & explore the American wilderness. Excitement of bears, hunting fish & building fires. Combined with great opportunity to chat about what to do if he is faced with tough times & reminder about strangers! Recommend having a map/atlas available to look at the length of the journey made by the boys.

a good book, lacking and amazing story. but still a good read.

My teenage son is really into this book, he's not much of a reader but I brought this and he wants to read to me every night! Which is a great result! I am just into this book as he is and look forward to our evenings with this book great buy!

I intend reading this to my year 6 class...I think they will love the adventure and the detail given to the boys exploits.

it was very difficult getting my son to go to bed while reading this as he couldn't put it down. l tried to get another book by the same author but couldn't find any. More please!!
