Smarter Popcorn Without the Bag of Mystery
This microwave popper is simple, clever, and surprisingly effective. The popcorn popped evenly with very few unpopped kernels, and it worked perfectly without adding oil. Cleanup was much easier than expected, and the collapsible design makes it easy to store without sacrificing half a cabinet. The silicone feels sturdy, and the bowl stays manageable after popping as long as you use the handles rather than grabbing it like a hero. The popcorn tastes lighter than oil-popped popcorn, but still very good. Best of all, it lets me skip the packaged microwave popcorn bags and whatever chemical science experiment may be hiding inside them. Five stars for making popcorn easy, lighter, and just a little less suspicious.

Perfect in every way.
I almost never post reviews of products I buy, even the really good ones. But this, THIS is what microwave popcorn should be! I was very skeptical about buying this. It's cheap and looks flimsy. But I was so wrong. It is perfect. If you only add the kernels to it and pop, then you will get the best tasting, healthiest popcorn you can have. No more worrying about chemicals from brand popcorn! And this tastes almost exactly like the popcorn from the metal stove top whirly popcorn pots. And it cleans with just a wipe of a damp paper towel! It also folds up and takes very little space. Then you can start experimenting with it. Adding oils, flavocal, butter, you name it. Now it does state that adding a lot of oil can damage it, so go easy on that. You can also adjust the amount of kernels you can add. I would add a little bit more each time until it pops the exact amount you want. As someone who loves popcorn, it has taken me years to find the perfect popper, but that search is finally over! Easy to set up, super easy to clean, and make delicious popcorn!

Works as intended, easy to clean
So far weโve enjoyed this product! Itโs a bit smaller than I anticipated, but works as described. Great for popping with or without oils/butter and easy to clean. Some comments mention the container being extremely hot when coming out of the microwave. While thatโs true, and you definitely want to supervise if kids are using it, the handles on the sides provide a spot for safely getting it out without burning yourself.

Makes healthy eating easy & taste perfect every time!
Love this popper! Works as promised ๐. Favorite way is to put a little extra virgin olive oil in the bottom (less than 1T) add some seasoning (favorite right now is garlic & herb w/ Parmesan & black pepper)- then add popcorn kernels to the first fill line. Iโve tried using the popcorn button at 2.5 oz & 7 power as well as popcorn button 2 oz ( first -or on some microwaves the only option) and hit start. Both seem to work equally well. ** Adore that it cleans easily & collapses flat w/ lid on top. ** Perfect for that little snack/nosh when you want something between a real meal but donโt want to end up eating 800- 1,500 calories munching through a bag of chips w/ dip, sleeve of Oreos or random refrigerator raidsโฆ. I have used it 3 times in a week; between breakfast & lunch, a few hours after dinner and once when I woke up hungry in the wee hours of nothing and knew better than to open the freezer or fridge.

Do it!
This thing is amazing. It takes a few tries to dial in the amount and time of your microwave wave. However once dialed in it is chefs kiss! Makes a decent amount of popcorn without all the fat and junk in the bagged stuff. Itโs cheap enough and productive enough I am thinking of getting one for work. Stays up right easily and collapses down for storage. 5/5 recommend buy

I've tried the rest; this one is best.
This thing works remarkably well. The end result is probably not as good as it would be with a hot oil popper, but I am trying to avoid anything cooked in oil. Over the past several months I have gone through three different corn poppers, and they were all disappointing for different reasons. I won't mention brand names, but the hot air popper made popcorn that looked great, but had the consistency of Styrofoam. I sent that one right back. Then there's one that appears to be very similar to the Salbree, but it costs less. That one works well enough, but you have to watch it carefully, because it absolutely will burn the popcorn if you don't stop it soon enough. And it leaves a LOT of unpopped kernels. I've been using that one at the office for the past few months, and I have learned to save the unpopped kernels after every batch, and when I have enough saved up, I re-pop them all over again. It's not quite as good, but I can't stand waste. Then there's one that's made of clear, hard plastic, which to me is the most disappointing of all. I've been using this one at home for the past few months. I had the exact same model several years ago, and back then it worked very well. It uses a disposable "concentrator cup" made out of paper or paperboard. Back then one of those paper cups would last through at least 3 or 4 batches, and often 5 or more. With this new one I'm lucky if the cup doesn't burn up during the first batch, and it never goes more than two. They obviously made a conscious decision to modify the cups so that you would have to replace them more often. They know that they can do better, but they won't because they think that they will make more money this way. Not from me they won't. That's a good company to stay away from. As mentioned, at first glance this Salbree seems very similar to one described above, and I almost didn't buy it because it costs a little more, and it seemed likely to have the same issues. But it doesn't. Practically all of the kernels pop, and in the 3 or 4 weeks that I've been using it at home, it has yet to burn a single kernel. Every now and then you get a piece or two that has the Styrofoam-like consistency, but I can live with that. The other poppers are going up on Freecycle next weekend. And I just ordered another Salbree for the office. It's nice to find something that actually works as advertised. That's rare these days. - UPDATE: The second Salbree arrived at the office a couple of weeks ago, and I have used it several times. For some reason it doesn't work as well as the one at home. The only difference that I can see is that the microwave at home is rated at 1,000w, while the one in the office is only 900w. According to Google that would only affect the cooking time; not the quality of the final results. I guess I should take the new one home and bring the older one to the office and compare those results.

Greatest popcorn maker ever!
This popcorn maker is incredible. I purchased it to replace an air popper based on the reviews and was completely surprised.! It is so easy to clean, makes popcorn better than the air popper and you can add oil and salt or butter with the kernels and it will distribute perfectly evenly. You can also add spices as well. I tried adding maple sugar one time and it burned in the middle. Amazingly, same easy cleanup.! I have purchased this as a gift for all of my family best of all itโs all natural and quick, so no need to buy supermarket microwave products

Awesome!
This popcorn maker is awesome and super easy to use! And all the kernels pop! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you add can't add any seasoning or butter to the kernels.

Xxxxing amazeballs but goes very very smelly
I found a YouTube review of this and hoped my ancient microwave would be able to pull it off. And it does! I've tried testing out all sorts of pop corn methods at home. There were about 4 unpopped kernels in the bowl, it took about 4 minutes, was absolutely loads. This is an amazing durable solution that means you don't have to add oil and stand there cooking. I'm so happy, pop corn is a good dieting snack cos you can just add salt or sugar free things and even olive oil tastes good! High on fibre, low in calories. :-) so much fun. I'm a genuine person and this is a true review :-) After two weeks of use, it pongs so bad it stinks my cupboard out,I can smell it from other parts of the kitchen. Google to have to start keeping it in a tight bag or something. It soaks up all the heated toasted kernel smell which builds up to a horrid smell. Need advice for this!
