Great for Keeping Track of Receipts!
I looked for a long time for something that would hold a lot of receipts. I started keeping all my receipts when they changed the tax law that allowed for people to get a tax deduction for Sales Tax. I finally came across these check files and they are perfect. They expand quite far and will hold a year's worth of receipts in one place, by month. They are sturdy and have held up for a couple of years. I purchased half a dozen of them and none of them have had a problem under the stress of too many receipts from my wife's shopping. Highly Recommended.

Cheap and Easy Organizer
Been using these for nearly 20 years. I use these to store tax return receipts (1x use). I use a hanging file folder plastic one for year-round use, because it's more durable.Pros:* Cheapest organizer folders I could find on Amazon or otherwise.* Pre-printed months/letters on the tabs. Other brand folders that have the insert-it-yourself tabs always end up falling out, which makes finding the right slot annoying.* 10% recycled materials. Not a great percentage, but it's something.* Made from kraft paper, which can eventually be recycled. I use them mainly to store tax return receipts (1x use, which cycles out for re-use every 7 years when I shred the 7+ year old tax records)Cons:* This is a kraft paper product, so it's not the most durable for everyday use.* Re: Shipping. Not sure why it's listed as a PRIME 2-day delivery item if it isn't going to ship for 2-3 weeks. Disappointing.

Not as substantial as it looks in the picture.
This item is small, skimpy and cheaply constructed. Definitely not worth the price. I bought this low-profile accordian file for receipts. It says it is for checks, maybe that was my mistake. You can maybe fit a few checkbooks into this thing- not the whole year of receipts I need to file, and which my last file was capable of handling. I opened the package and therefore I probably cannot return it.

Great at first but is tearing after a year of use
I bought this after reading about it on a financial blog that suggested to use it for keeping track of important receipts and paystubs for the year. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's the perfect size for receipts and letters folded into thirds and even fits larger bills/paystubs that are closer to the size of a letter folded in half.Mine gets a fair amount of use as I'm adding and removing things in it at least once per week. At first it seemed like it was going to be up for the task and provide years of usage due to the heavy weight of the paper material it is made of and the reinforced areas. However, now I'm wishing I'd paid a little extra to get a poly-something version since the foldover flap is now beginning to separate from the back side of the index after just one year of usage. For the price, for some folks, that may be a good deal but I'd hoped I'd get at least a few years of use out of it. Anyone using it for couponing or other purposes where it will get more frequent use may want to consider a heavier duty version or one made out of a plastic-based material.

Perfect for receipts
This little check file is perfect for receipts. It holds plenty of receipts, and has pre-marked indexes. Also, the paper is a nice weight, and the inner dividers go down to the bottom of the pocket. It has good expansion, too, and a cover that completely covers the tabs and secures with the elastic band. Just what I needed to keep my receipts organized and easy to find.

Love it for Coupons!
I bought this organizer to use for my coupons and I love it! Small enough to fit in my purse but large enough to hold a lot of coupons. My only complaint is that the elastic is not attached very well and pulls off easily. You can reinsert it through the hole....if you can find it. My 2 year old threw it on the ground somewhere in the market and that was that!

Super for personal finances
Very handy for organizing my monthly bills. Now every week I just put 1/4 of each monthly bill into its designated section and at the end of the billing cycle I have the payment amount in full! My bills are always on time and in full!

Great choice
Since Office Depot closed in Canada, Amazon is the only place to get these little beauties which I use all the time in my business. I truly hate the plastic versions of these so this one is my go to for small document/cheque storage.
