David Burke Gourmet Pro Stature EZ Strain Cookware (2.5 qt sauce pan)

Love everything about this pot. Wish I had more. Bought over 5 years ago and still like new. Easy to clean. Cooks great. Lid has strainer holes. Pot has pouring sides . I use a pot holder that slides on handle . Pot can go in oven.

Incredible quality with helpful features I've never seen before and truly appreciate. Obviously designed by someone who knows cooking. Only drawback is the handle on lid and pot are not encased in burn proof silicone - just partly. But that's what potholders are made for. My mantra is: Get burned once, it's the design's fault. Get burned twice, it's my fault.

I ordered this pan because I'd found a smaller version at Marshalls and it is heavier with excellent construction, so much better quality than I'd found in general department stores. I needed a slightly larger size as an alternative to crock pots or the instant pot. It was incredible to find the cushioning on the handle didn't go all the way around and will burn the hand. It is still handy but you have to know to use a pot holder.

I have a couple different David Burke pots and they all get hot handles and lid handles. I’m not sure if they are even testing these out when they design them or maybe they’re only concerned with the look.

Burns in spots-quality is really bad😰

The quality is great, especially for the price. Many reviewers point to the handle design but I never found it a problem. I only use it on gas range the handle never get hot even on high for long time.I can image that it could be a problem if used on more intense heating source though.

The handle is just the worst thing I have ever seen or used. I would love to talk to whoever designed and approved this pan. They had to not be thinking at all. The handle has metal all up and down it. If you have this pan on the stove for more than 5 minutes, you’ll need an oven mit to lift it. The handle gets SO hot. I have burnt myself numerous times picking it up. Don’t buy this product, you WILL burn yourself if you don’t use heat resistant gloves.

Nice heavy pot.....but dumbest handle design ever!!! Lid and pot handles have a soft cushion to protect your hand from the heat....until you actually wrap your hand around it to lift. Then you are right in contact with the hot metal parts not covered by the cushion!!! Stupid stupid stupid!!!!If not wrapping the whole way around the handle.....why even bother with any cushioning???Obviously some cookware designer never actually cooked!!!
