Q: Does it work on a Mac with X-plane 10?

Yes, the trim wheel works with x-plane 10. When calibrating it you have to roll the wheel a bunch of times before the flight simulator recognizes it. Can't help you with regard to a Mac.

It works with MS Flight Simulator. Not sure about other games.

Q: Can the trim wheel be used with airliners and fighters?

I've used the Cessna trim wheel with FSX, X-Plane 10, Prepar3D, and FSX Steam and it works with all the aircraft I've tried it with (Fighters as well as Airliners included). I always have to roll the trim wheel several rotations before the simulators recognize it.
