We have a real problem with Japanese beetles and Green June Beetles. I have had them get tangled in my long hair more than once and I wasn’t about to risk it again. This hat is great for protecting me from the beetles as well as mosquitos. It’s very lightweight, provides a bit of sun protection and easily folds back up into its storage case.

This thing's amazing I live in Florida and I was inhaling bugs all the time finding out my Palm trees and weeding Not with his hat not one time did I inhale a bug but I'll tell you what did happen I forgot to put the hat on stuck my head in a spider nest my head got bitten all over I had to go to a laser therapist to take care of the stinging venomous bites on my head never forget to wear your hat

I was looking for a protective hat to use in killing some hornets nests I had at the base of some trees. I reviewed all of the ones on Amazon and decided on this one. I'm glad I did. It is well made, comfortable and can be worn with the zipper in front or back. I wore it when killing the nests and did not have any hornets penetrate the hat or netting. Buy it, you'll like it.

my neighbor has about 50 beehives, and I have been stung repeatedly while working in my yard. I finally caved and bought this netted hat. I like it a lot. It offers adequate shade and definite protection from bees. I’ve been approached by angry bees, trying to get at my face - mysteriously, they know to attack your eyes, nose and mouth - and they were thwarted by the netting. I only gave it four stars because it is pretty flimsy, but it did the job I purchased it for and you cannot argue with the price. It shows sweat stains, pretty quickly, but is very easy to rinse in the sink, and it looks like new. I don’t think it would work if you are a beekeeper, but if you are a neighbor who is tired of getting stung, this hat will improve your life.

It does the job and is surprisingly comfortable and effective.

I hate the sound of bugs. As a Missourian dealing with cicadas, I needed a product that would make me feel protected from those dreadful bugs. This product is perfect. It has a mouth zipper to drink a cocktail, and it has an adjustable bottom to prevent from any sneaky bugs getting in.

Love everything about how this fits/ is so comfortable! I am a dog groomer and use this to help with not getting hair in my eyes/ nose while blow drying! The ONLY LITTLE TEENY TINY issue I have with it, is there’s a zipper for your mouth I’m assuming?? The zipper zips and unzips, but no break in the mesh fabric, so it’s essentially a useless zipper LOL.

Lightweight and useful to keep insects from face, but depending on your head size there is no protection for the top of head. Will get stung by a bee if your head is big.

I ordered this to protect myself from mosquitoes and it works perfectly. It comes in a zip-up case that it can be folded back into after wearing.

I found this great when setting up my wasp traps very close to where the wasps were entering my building total protection

I had a different bug hat that was just suffocating but this style of hat is perfect. Hardly bothered by the black flys or mosquitoes this year at all.

Love it. I'm out on a ride on mower a lot and oh dear - those midges and mossies. This was delivered today and it's wonderful. For a tenner it's great value. You have a tie with a toggle for under the chin, so it stays on your head. There's an adjustable toggle so you can make sure nothing sneaks in round the neck area. You get a storage bag. I've just ordered another for my husband. I got the large size, it was plenty roomy enough and because of the toggle it doesn't matter if it's a bit big on your head.

If you want relief from black flies this is the hat for you. Extremely light and comfortable.
