Helped catch a fish immediately in the river
Would buy more if I needed them. The holder held my rod while I caught a fish 50 seconds after dropping in, the first time out rowing upstream after installing one to my kayak. I am sure it was not all because of this holder, but the holder certainly played a role, and held my pole. It was easy to drill the hole and install to my 10ft sit in kayak. Perfect fit and was easy to install in my kayak.

Works but not for all rods
This was easy to install and the price was great. The cover is ok to pop open and close but could be a little easier. It generally works well. My only issue is it works great for spinning rods but for spin casting rods it doesn't seem to seat well. The button on the rod would keep pushing against the edge of the rod mount and release the line on it's own. Still good for other rod types and the price was great. I like the flush mount and would probably buy again if I needed more.

No Instructions Included
The product seems to be fine. I haven't installed them yet. It would have been nice for the company to include installation instructions - what size hole to drill, etc... That's my major complaint.
