how do you clean after using oil base paints?

Make sure it is 100% mineral spirits and not flammable. You can use oil based paints to spray and mineral spirits or equivalent for clean up as long as the label says non flammable.

How well does it spray stains and Polyurethanes?

Fantastic...but you have to adjust the spray pressure depending on how thin or thick is the liquid you are using plus how much coverage you want on the surface you are using on.
