DEFECTIVE - It leaks.
I attached the assembly to the base of the pitcher as normal and added water (about half full) to the pitcher and then blended on mid-speed for about 30 seconds. I then removed the pitcher from the base and saw that a large amount of the water had leaked out all over the base. This blade assembly is cheaply made and leaky. Do not buy this. I immediately initiated a return .

It made my blender usable
It solved the problem if the blender leaking, and made the blender usable. But it wasn't totally compatable with a Hamilton Beach 610 blender.

The plastic ring is an exact fit. The teeth on the blade assembly are a bit different from the original and cause the carafe to sit a little high, but they're close enough to function.
