Beautiful little boot knife
What an awesome little hunk of steel! I got it for a great price. It's the perfect size for concealment. It's not the most balanced as it's blade heavy. It feels indestructable. The sheath has perfect retention. I wouldn't hesitate to say, mount it upside down on a plate carrier. I can't speak to other reviewers, but my sample there's no way the knife would fall out. It's extremely sharp and I love the midnight blue-ish color. Everything screams quality.

My second one
This is a handy, no-nonsense boot knife. It won't win a beauty contest because practicality trumps aesthetics here. There's nothing to break, come loose, or discolor with time. It's just a chunk of ball bearing steel that's been honed to a razor edge on both sides. I have much more expensive and ornate knives and the problem with those is that I really don't want to screw them up. This one is cheap enough to abuse and well-made enough to take it.The sheath is great. It secures the knife tightly and has a variety of options for integrating it with whatever you've got to work with. 1" leather or nylon straps fit perfectly. This is my second one. The first one is still alive and kicking but I let my son talk me out of it. A couple of weeks later, I regretted the decision so much that I ordered another. Though there was nearly ten years between both purchases, the new knife is just a great as the original. Happy with the purchase.

Good size and discreet
I've been looking for a small, fixed blade, discreet knife, with a sheath, that I can put in my pocket when I walk. This knife fits the bill and fits in my sweatshirt pocket, vs. boot, quite nicely. I found the blade to be straight and sharp and didn't have any issues as mentioned in some other reviews. I like the finger guard on the knife handle which provides a firmer grip and safety in the event I actually have to use the knife. The clip on the sheath grips quite well and I had no problems with the knife falling out of the sheath or dragging on it per other reviews. For you girls out there, yes, this will firmly clip on the leg pocket of your yoga pants, but with the stretchiness of the fabric, you will not be able to easily extract the knife from the sheath if needed. I really like this knife and thought it was quite the bargain for the price point. It would make a good stocking stuffer and it's not just for the fellas.

Crazy good durablity
Genuinely good knife right here I have had it for a few months and it's solid and is crazy sharp I haven't used it much but this thing is beyond normal sharpness be careful when you get it but yeah I would definitely recommend it has great value.Crazy good durability on this thing I mean its like a single solid piece which gives great peace of mind and lets you use it with like not fear(some people are saying the knife has gone through the sheath and cut them but it has worked pretty well for me so maybe it was just a fluke mine has been fine for a while

Best everyday carry knife I have owned so far
I absolutely love this knife. I can conceal it really well because of the slim design and I know it will throw well to but I haven’t gotten to that part yet. It has some weight to it so I know it’s great for throwing. It doesn’t feel heavy in an uncomfortable way just to be clear on the weight part. It cuts just like a knife should and I have tested it cutting plenty of things and it’s flawless so far. Maybe once I start practicing how to throwing it I won’t have any problems. I feel like it’s worth the money personally because I can’t find a knife this big that I can conceal so easily and it’s a great boot knife to!

My inital thoughts.....
I've owned a lot of knives. Big ones, small ones, cheap ones, and eating ramen noodles until my next check ones. This knife, the Drop Forged Boot Knife, is unique because of the monolithic design. You don't see many of those. The nice thing about that is there's no plastic pieces to damage and it makes it feel heavy and solid. I found that wrapping leather cording around the handle makes it more comfortable to grip with my big hands but you have to wrap it in a way that doesn't interfere with the sheath. It takes some practice to perfectly wrap around this knife handle but it's worth it. The metal is a decent high carbon steel, but there's better steel out there. The edge is razor sharp. It will shave my arm hair. The sheath seems to be built well and with a higher impact plastic. It looks like it's two pieces riveted together like a sandwich. The plastic doesn't look bonded in any way though I could be wrong because I haven't taken it apart. The clip is definitely meant for a boot. I don't wear boots but my girlfriend does and she says the sheath is slightly too large for her liking but she could still have it equipped in her boot all day and not really notice it. The clip holds well. It's a separate piece that can be removed from the sheath. My favorite part about this knife is the price. It's a good knife for an amazing price. Cold Steel sells this knife on their website for almost twice ad much as I paid here. This is an excellent choice for a budget knife, maybe one of the best choices. I would highly recommend the Cold Steel Drop Forged Boot Knife to anyone looking to spend as little money as possible for a high quality blade.

Beautiful EDC
I’ve always wanted a no frills spear point boot knife but there were always negatives to product I’ve seen on the market.I am 6’2 with large hands and the handle is just long enough, along with the hollow center, to provide ample grip.I love the simplicity, it’s beautiful and clean with what appears to be a solid dark gray finish. Time will tell but being an affordable, simple knife, it’ll be an EDC so it will get beat up regardless. The double edge is sharp. 52100 is very nice steel and should be easy to sharpen. I live in a free state so it is legal but if you go to kommiefornia you will probably be thrown in the gulag for disobeying Bloc Kommrad Newsollini’s ridiculous laws. The sheath is awesome, I have high top leather boots and it secured very well with the clip on feature. The slots on the sheath should be a bit wider for belt carry, the clip mechanism could be longer for belts as a backup but I’m sure it’ll work out just fine. Wider slots would be cool in case you don’t want to trust a small clip. All around I’m happy. The guard doesn’t let your hand slip forward, the tip is needle like and the heft is just right, with balance found just south of the guard.Good job cold steel!
