First Unit=Fireball/ Manuf Replacement Unit=works well
Bought this unit in November 2013 so I would have on hand while finishing my basement. I recently was able to get to the steps of wiring this up and do a functional check. After installing a new 20A dedicated circuit, I double checked the voltage coming out of the line thermostat I installed and it indicated 240v. I turned on my double pole thermostat, went over to the plf1504 to check for heat. Heat began to come out of the top of the unit. About 5 minutes into the test I heard a loud boom and witnessed a flash of fire coming from the opposite end of the unit that I had wired. Upon further inspection, the two leads(each 120v) that attach to the copper pipe that is filled with the liquid that warms had basically exploded off the copper tube and charred. Now I have a half burned unit with no hopes of repair. I have contacted the seller (third party through amazon) in hopes that I will be able to somehow replace unit. I cannot recommend this product at this time due to my brief but very negative experience with it. I will update this review when I have contacted the seller and the manufacturer (unit is 5 months old) to bring this matter to a close. Thank you for reading.UPDATE NOVEMBER 2014I only think it is fair that a product gets its true review after a year installed in my finished basement. After several attempts starting in January 2014, I was able to get a replacement unit shipped to my home sometime in April 2014 (the manufacturer does not get a very good review (1-star) in my opinion-took 5 to 6 phone calls and 5 to 6 emails over 4 months to finally get a replacement unit). I am happy to report that the installed units work excellent and I am very happy with the heat they are providing. They are very quiet and the thermostat really does help them regulate the heat well. I give these heaters 4 stars as I am deducting the review one star for the horrible customer service I received from the manufacturer. I would recommend this product for purchase, with the caveat that it works well and customers do not have to deal with the manufacturer for warranty replacement. Thanks again for reading the review, I hope it helps you make an informed decision.

Dangerous Farenheit/Marley hydronics- from a contractor
Photo is a video capture recorded from the floor-looking up inside the right side of the heater, NOT in a junction area. The unit was making sounds, I saw a blue light near the floor and took a video.Do not buy these brands, repeated risk of electrical shock and fire. The Marley heaters are some of the highest BTU for the size, obviously a huge appeal- but not worth the risk.I was excited to find these rebranded Marley heaters for much less. These exact products are over twice as much at construction suppliers.MULTIPLE reviews from various sites show the same shorting condition in the same place, the element is arcing to the electrical supply housing. I have a video of the active short throwing big 240 sparks, before tripping the whole house service. That's what can happen with that voltage, fires and shock or come home to find all of your power off.My belief of the defect is that it's probably due mostly to shipping problems. The longer units repeatedly come in damaged, the boxes they have been shipped in from multiple vendors- even if shipped with additional packaging- isn't sufficient. The factory packaging isn't robust enough for getting it from a local supply house shelf to your vehicle and home, yet Amazon shipped it without any additional packaging. The cardboard isn't heavy enough, there needs to be more molded packaging and there's only 3 round pieces of tape. This box was never intended to put a label on and put through the abuse of the shipping chain. A 70" heater with welded fluid filled copper tubes and electronics shouldn't be flexed and jolted and expect to work normally.Could the heater design be improved to allow for some flex without damage? Probably? Could the manufacturer stop being cheap with the packaging? Yes. Could this be an issue due to "made in China by expectations set from a penny pinching executive"? I don't know... all I want is to do is keep a steady schedule remodeling homes with predictable shipments but nothing shows up on time or without damage anymore. This is a Marley issue that I've experienced through 3 vendors in a month. Even the best packed box will have a heater that was subjected to unknown abuse. I'll be looking for another brand for my hydronic heaters, install at your own risk!

Great heater
I have a 1100 sq. ft. condo with the upstairs open to the downstairs and this heater keeps the whole house warm and cozy. No noise at all and the thermostat keeps the condo heat even and wonderful. Highly recommend.

So far so good.
Easy to install and they heat the area well. I bought 2 and one of them does make some noise when heating. The standard tinging of heating and expanding metal, but its not too bad.

Good heating with small amount of noise
This is an early detection of what there is to come without being winter temps. yet. I have 2 70" and 1 94" located in a basement room measuring 17 X 35. I have other sources of heat in the room but wanted these for the radiant variety and quietness since the room is used for 2 channel stereo and home theater. I got the radiant heat that is so uniform and the 3 of them putting out over 16,000 BTU does the job adequately. My issue so far is the ticking and popping upon turnoff and startup. A lot of reviews expressed no noise but mine certainly do the ticking and popping upon heat dismissal and heat retrieval. This makes perfect sense as metal expands and contracts also. It is not overwhelming and I will certainly get used to it but do not be surprised when this occurs.Overall I like the product and the heating ability is very good and does the job I intended.UPDATE: The ticking has settled into small now once broke in. As I update this the above units are heating the 17X35 room with the thermostats set on 4-5 (maximum 9) with 0 degrees outside. Very nice quality radiant heat and with the 3 of them very powerful. I will take this heat over forced air anyday.
