It wasn't long, though, before this became short for "Juggernaut". Built like a 400-mph flying tank, it packed the wallop of eight .50 caliber machine guns and carried enough bombs and rockets to wipe a ground target clean off the map. This gorgeous 1.2m replica of the Razorback P-47D perfectly captures the power and presence of this one-of-a-kind warbird. And because it comes equipped with an AS3X receiver that features optional SAFE Select technology, pilots of almost any skill level will find it's as much fun to fly as it is to look at. Functional Flaps and Retractable Landing GearAlong with its many other scale details, the model comes out of the box with functional flaps and electric retracts that are already installed for you. Details on the landing gear struts and wheels add to the realism. An Incredible Level of DetailYou will have a tough time finding another RC replica of this iconic warbird that looks as good as this one. The expertly applied trim scheme is that of a P-47 that flew with the 510th Sq., 405th Fighter Group during World War II

Excellent Customer Service
I was contacted by Larry from Horizon Hobby’s customer service today. We spoke on the phone a bit and offered to help me out with a new plane. We talked a bit about some of my initial issues and he gave me some good advice on what to inspect on new planes before flying them. Overall, I’m very happy with how Horizon handled my questions. I didn’t expect that they would even send me a new plane! I will definitely be doing more business with them in the future. I’ve got my eye on that Corsair next! Thanks, Larry!*****Original review pre-customer service contact****Very neat plane. Sad that I didn’t catch the severed signal wire that led to a loss of elevator control and the plane to smash itself into the ground in a nose dive. SAFE didn’t work so well without any elevator. I discovered the problem salvaging the wreck for re-usable parts on a plane I plan to build from scratch. Check out the wire in the pictures. For what it’s worth, the plane flew well for the little bit of time that it did work. I’ll be buying a replacement plane soon. I’d buy this same plane again, as long as I can get some assurance from Horizon Hobby that I won’t have any more issues leading to new craters in my local soccer field.

Very awesome. So much larger than we expected
Very awesome. So much larger than we expected, so we were surprised. My son graduated from a smaller model and had no trouble with this. We kept the flaps and gear down for the first few flights to maintain a reasonable speed because it's surprisingly fast, but after that, he was a pro. Lots of power will cruise practically at idle and accelerate in a near verticle trajectory. No problems hand launching this too!

Excellent to fly and looks very cool - recommend flying ...
Excellent to fly and looks very cool - recommend flying with a radio that has MORE than 6 channels or the SAFE feature will be linked to the retractable gear (to turn on/off SAFE) but I do recommend this plane, great product.
