Mellow Shirt Dog Anxiety Calming Wrap, Small, Aluminum

I have an 8 pound Morkie who will bark, pace, and scratch at the front door for 8 hours straight. I have purchased so many calming treats, sprays, and liquids but nothing has helped with his separation anxiety. This shirt has helped tremendously! He will bark a little bit and after a while will just lay down and go to sleep ( I watch him on my security camera). I’m so glad I didn’t give up and got this shirt. It has relieved both me and my pup’s stress level. Note: I use this shirt in conjunction with his other calming treats. Maybe this is the magic combination.

Never mind thunder - since my chihuahua mix discovered how good this makes her feel, she comes running for me to put this on her every time it starts to rain. For reference, she's 7 pounds and XX-Small fits nicely. Good velcro, pleasant smooth fabric. Easy on and off.

(update)We found a design flaw in this product. It still works, but we left the dog alone when we went out and when we got home the dog had removed the shirt. The design flaw is that there isn't enough Velcro and the flap around the chest goes up and doesn't have a protective cover (like in the Thunder Shirt/Vest). It is still a product that works, but because our dog has figured out how to get it off we are going to have to return it. We need something that will stay on.We were given a Thunder Shirt for our dog after a friend lost their dog to cancer. We had told them our dog had a problem with fireworks and thunder. They told us that their dog had the same problem, so they gave the shirt to us to use. We noticed a big difference in our dog during storms and loud events.I told my mom about the shirt and she wanted one for her adopted dog, which the dog had serious sensory issues. It was always nervous and we had to keep it on drugs to subdue it. When we took it to the vet, we had to muzzle it because it would bite the vet.Today, about an hour ago, I took the Mellow Shirt over to my mom's. I put it on the dog and instantly, the dog's disposition changed. I mean, it was like flicking a light switch off. It was that quick.The dog would never go up to my mom, it always ran away from her. Now it will approach her, even with her in the motorized chair which the dog dislikes. It follows her around the house and will not leave her side.

I'm going to admit it publicly: I hate the Fourth of July. Where I live, it is like Armageddon, there are so many illegal fireworks.Anyway, my dogs don't like it either. Last year, I called my vet to get a sedative for my dog and she recommended turning on a fan to drown out the noise instead.This year, I'm turning to CBD and this shirt and so far, so good. My dog has no reluctance about wearing the shirt. It's lightweight. The velcro seems adequate. It's made of t-shirt material and while being a little thinner than expected, it's holding up fine. Does it make my dog less nervous? I don't know but it can't hurt. She seems a little less stressed out but right now, we're in the overture of the Fourth. We'll have to see how she reacts when we are under sustained assault.

It seems like a quality product. Soft and super easy to out on. But once it was on it actually made her more anxious. She hated it and kept trying to pull it off.

Doesn’t help at all. She’s still anxious with it on. Velcro length is also really strange, so putting it on her, there is always extra material hanging, and then not enough velcro in the spot where I want to attach it.

The product came as advertised and within a timely manner. The material and design was as advertised. It was easy to put on my dog and adjust as needed.My dog wore it for most of the day. He seemed to be calmer as he wore it. He did not fight against it and seemed very comfortable.I had to leave for a couple hours, so I made sure that it fit well before putting him in his kennel. Upon arriving home I discovered a happy, but naked dog. He had eaten his way out of the mellow shirt!I do not blame the product, due to the fact that my dog has eaten many things. A few examples are dog beds, throw pillows, electric blankets, and a love seat. So I give this product this particular rating based on how it arrived, the quality of it, the ease of it, and the overall experience. Yet I had hoped it would be more beneficial for my situation.

This is thinner than competor but appears works ok seems to be calmer

Perfect for the summer since it’s made of a thinner then the thundershirt witch is made of a thicker material witch can be too hot for the summer but good for the winter. Helps keep my little morkie calm when he’s stressed:3

Lo pedí para mi Chihuahua y le quedó muy grande. Las tallas están mal especificadas

Está muy caro para lo que es, esta lindo le quedo bien pero solo le sirve como tipo sueter.
