Just have someone assemble if it’s not your thing...well made, awesome hoop!
The media could not be loaded. If you have never put anything together before, don’t start with this. It’s not easy, but it is well made. Any of the posts complaining otherwise are just vents at the aggravation. You can’t tighten one side down without messing up the other side, so bear that in mind with a few bolts, nuts, screws. If you don’t take heed, then you will struggle. I don’t know why they don’t put this info in the manual except that they probably figure this isn’t your first rodeo. It wasn’t mine. It still took me over 5 hours, but I mostly did it alone and I am a 50 year old mom with Mitochondrial disease.... So I’m a rockstar, but this hoop is the real Star! We love it. It is the best of these free standing hoops that I’ve ever seen. I love the adjustable arm. The other brands had a knob which I assume you turn and then lift the pole? Sounds like more of a pain. This pain was well worth it. It was a challenge, more than a pain. I love a challenge and this hoop is going to see many hours of action. We love it. It’s tough and I love the ball return too. Five stars for this bad boy!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great
I researched many basketball systems and decided on this one in green. I purchsed it when it was on sale for a penny under twohundered during Thanksgiving. I was not disappointed. It was not too hard to put together. Just have a little patience. The poles are iinside the base. Please quit saying you are missing them LOL. I put this togehter as a girl with two friends. Just lay all the parts out and read the instructions. The goal is great for play. The acrylic backboard is not too bad on the rebound and as close as you can get to glass without spending a fortune. I would definitely purchase this item with any portable system...l "BaseGel Basketball Goal Portable Bases Polymer, 16-Ounce". I discovered it by reading the reviews and it was a good recommendation. It's a gel that fills up your base once you mix it with some water. No leaks and it didn't freeze in winter so the base didn't crack. It also made the goal base heavy and it held up some pretty heavy winds. This goal is a good choice for a medium price portable goal (or bargain if you get it on sale). I would recommend this!

Excellent Hoop for the Price
I have owned this hoop for almost two years now. I believe it is an excellent hoop for the cost. I didn't find it terribly difficult to put together, but you do need two people at a few critical junctures of the process. So plan to have another adult or older child around before you start. If you take your time and read the directions carefully, you should not have any problems. This is not something you want to put together based on intuition. It took me approximately 4 hours to put together while working at a leisurely pace. After two years it still looks great and height adjustments still work smooth. Be sure to inspect everything upon receipt. My first order came with a cracked backboard. Amazon quickly sent an entire new hoop and paid for the return of the damaged one. Performance: It can be a bit noisy. The ball deflector at the bottom is especially noisy when a ball hits it. Again, you get what you pay for. If you want a hoop that is super solid with minimal backboard noise, then you should probably go up a few price points and purchase the Spaulding Beast or go with an in ground system with a glass backboard. My kids are 11, 9, and 7. This was a perfect fit for them as beginning and developing basketball players. Making height adjustments is very easy and smooth, and my 11 and 9 year old can adjust on their own, which is a big plus for me. There is some "give" in the backboard, but again, it's pretty good for what you pay for. After two years, the only negative is that a few months ago the backboard started to separate from its frame on one side. The separation was pretty significant. This was obvious because the sound and performance changed. I was able to fix it with some clear construction adhesive and clamps, and it works like new. The base is solid. We opted to fill the base using water and "BaseGel," and have not had any issues. Overall, I think this was an excellent purchase and would recommend it to people looking for a decent entry-level hoop.

Great hoop, prepare for assembly and you’ll be fine
This is not a simple assembly but don’t let it scare you and definitely don’t buy into the poor reviews based on the challenge of assembly. It’s not like putting together a tinker toy. You are building a substantial basketball hoop from scratch. But there’s not an unacceptable level of expertise needed. You need 2 people. I repeat, you need 2 people. Maybe not for every part but you will need 2 people for holding things in place while the other person lines up the pieces. If you follow the instructions and pay close attention to each step, you will be fine. One hint: get all the hardware out and separate them into baggies with their part number labeling the bag. It makes the process SO MUCH easier than scrambling for each piece at each step. The hoop is excellent. We are very impressed with the quality!

Was easy for me! The drawings were a bit deceptive.
This was a gift for my grandson, I had to assemble it at his home and I went by the tools required in the instructions for the assembly. It does not mention a 9mm socket for the screws attaching the plastic guard on the bottom of the back splash, also the angles on that 3 piece plastic guard were off and the holes did not line up. I went back two weeks later, 100 mile round trip with the socket and a heat gun to heat up the plastic corners and finished the project. My grandson was very happy with it, except it looks kind of out of square, and that is where it is going to stay.

Shipping problem
The only problem that I have was upon arrival as shown in the pictures, a piece was missing and several cracks in the cover over the support bars.
