great to add into my recovery rehab exercises for tennis elbow
The media could not be loaded. I have been unable to play badminton now for over 6 months, I was playing 6-9 hours each week of competitive badminton till my elbow pain got unbearable. I have had a MRI scan and 10 physio sessions now and have been told that with rest from the sport and rehab exercise it will recover.I need to improve my grip strength, biceps, forearm and shoulder to take the strain off my tendon, so I have a variety of exercises that I am supposed to be doing, this is great for easily building back up my grip strength and can be done whilst cooking the dinner, watching the tv etc, if I leave it out I remember to use it more. I only have it on the smallest setting 19kg as i find it impossible to do it on the max setting 30kg, perhaps if the handles weren't so far apart i would get a better grip to start with, perhaps better suited to large hands

It's...small? Also expected better quality, price also a bit high
When I received this grip exerciser, it seemed pretty ordinary to me. Looks very typical - and nice too. But when I held it in my hand, it occured to me that it's fairly small…At least smaller than another grip exerciser I got for my mum, which is perfect size wise, comfortable, nice looking and easy to adjust. My hands aren't small but I see lots of people with even larger hands than mine. This device won't let me find a comfortable position for my whole hand, including all fingers. That has two possible long-run consequences: damaging the equipment due to incorrect pressure used and damaging my hand eventually…It's very important for a device like this to be very comfortable. It has non-slip grips in the right places and an easy to access force regulator, which to be honest doesn't work as smoothly as it should be. But if the size isn't right and I can't get a proper grip on it, things won't work well. It's an ok grip exerciser for short bursts and smaller hands. The force differs between 10-30kg. There are stronger devices with a wider range of 5-60kg. The cost is the same as this one by Fitness-Mad. For me it's ok force wise - you can squeeze it on maximum setting, but trying to do it 10-20 times will be a challenge for most people. But it's the size that's the real problem. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this exerciser.Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Flimsy and cheap
Started off amazing. After 3 weeks the handles snapped in my hand. Missed the return window so it went in the bin. I dont have superhuman hand strength, these are just very cheaply and poorly made. Avoid

Adjustable Hand Grip Exerciser from Fitness Mad, 10-30 kg.
The media could not be loaded. My partner tested this item. This is his review.Having broken my pinkie finger and hand around 16 years ago, I have never regained full strength in that right hand. Many years later, I took up a badminton (club level) and have been playing that for around 5 years now. I get regular coaching and have realised that my grip strength is significantly weaker in my right hand (dominant) compared to my left, particularly in that pinkie finger area. This hand exerciser / grip strengthener from Fitness Mad can help strengthen anyone's grip (with or without any injuries). I have actually owned one of these before and the design looks identical (pictured). However, the previous one that I have is rated for "20lbs to 90lbs" (which converted to kilos is 9kg to 40kg). This one from Fitness Mad is rated 10kg to 30kg and it feels stronger than my previous one, even at its maximum of 30kg. The adjustable control is also easier to use compared to my previous one which was stiff.I have actually bought quite a few items from Fitness Mad in the past, ranging from spikey massage balls, trigger point lacrosse style balls through to ankle weights. They have all been good quality items and I feel like I can always trust that the products that they produce have been well designed and tested for a particular purpose. At its current price of just £5.95, I think this device is good value for money.

Very tough to grip
Very stiff if you have poor grip strength. Hard to use if you have small hands.

Gripping but not challenging enough for me
The media could not be loaded. This is a grip strengthener that can be tightened or loosened, as appropriate, by a screw mechanism.I found this particular mechanism, even at its toughest, not too challenging although it definitely proved once and for all that my left hand is weaker than my dominant right. This is a super ‘toy’ for the office for when you are unable to go out to exercise and are taking one tedious call after the other. On a more practical note, it is also a useful gauge for those suffering limb injury or illness that can affect grip. For me (athletic woman aged 57.5), I would have liked this to be a little more challenging.

Comfortable, durable hand exercisers
When it comes to small fitness products, I find there are a lot of shoddy items, often cutting corners and seemingly flimsy. This hand grip exerciser, although really simple, is built with a comfortable frame and an even stronger spring mechanism. The hand exerciser comes built with rubber grips and a smart, adjustable spring torsion. It would appear obvious from a design aspect to have hand grips made with a rubber surface. But looking across the myriad hand grip exercisers in the market, you would be surprised to find this product really does adopt a more intuitive design and grip, unlike others. Moreover, this does not have just once fixed torsion but a range from 10kg to 30kg! This adjustable feature ultimately makes this hand exerciser accessible for anyone- to start off low and build more flexing strength. In terms of results, hand exercisers work indirectly by building on greater grip strength to then lift more, resulting in more muscle. As hand grip is essential for almost all arm/body muscle building, instructors highly recommend only using these hand exercisers after training. I'll be pumping away in the meantime and hope to see some clearer lifting strength.
