I'm in love with this fantastic machine!!
This machine is amazing - especially after my old, unreliable electric machine. You just key in a number and off you go - perfect stitches, top and bottom (the old machine never did the underneath stitches properly). You can vary the tension (although I haven't needed to), width & length of stitches just by keying in numbers. A really professional result - and very clear instructions. The choice of stitches is amazing - plus features I haven't had before, like an anchor stitch at the start of a seam. And get this - it even threads the needle for you! Plus, you can wind bobbins without unthreading the needle. Button holes are automatically sewn to the correct width of your button for an ultra-professional result. It also stitches the buttons on for you, but I've not tried this yet.I've stitched a variety of fabrics, including denim with a jeans needle and heavier thread. It has a feature where you can lift the foot higher if the fabric is very thick which is handy - useful for hemming jeans.I thought I had a problem with the foot pedal running slow. I contacted the seller via Amazon and they got straight back to me - turns out I'd moved a sliding switch to 'slow' - you can vary the speed to slow, medium or fast. Problem solved!

Fab machine. Lots of things you'd only expect from a more expensive one.
Loooove this machine. I've never had one that can work without a foot peddle so its great for my dodgy back. The needle up /down button and the brilliant quality thread cutter make so much difference to the ease of sewing items too.For the price, its a really fabulous bargain of a machine. I usually take ages to get used to a new machine but this one was almost immediately easier to use than my much loved Sewist.I'm not often one for decorative stitches but there's some really cute ones on here. Overall, couldn't be happier with this machine! 😁

So easy to use
I've been dressmaking on and off for decades, usually getting the bug again when The Great British Sewing Bee arrives on the TV. My old machine was an old clunker, no computer in sight so after watching a few YouTube tutorials and seeing some lovely, computerised ones, I decided to look around. There's so much choice out there (and big prices), I wrote down the things that were important to me. Speed control was a biggie, even as an intermediate dressmaker I'm not a fast sewer and needed to limit speed of the foot pedal. Auto needle threading was also important due to my not great eyesight. Multiple stitch choices and a brand website to refer to if I have issues. An on/off switch (my old one didn't have one and had to be unplugged after each session). Price, of course was also a concern and I wanted something under £500.After wheedling down the machines which fell into my 'wish list' this definitely came out top. It's lovely to sew with. Also after making a rooky move of starting the machine with the wrong foot and stitch choice, it broke the needle and threw out a fault message and stopped. I thought (as with my old machine) I've have to open it up and re-align the mechanism). But no, it's got a computer. I turned it off for a minute, turned it back on and it re-aligned itself. Awesome!

Excellent machine with plenty of features
This machine was ordered to replace my old DXL603 which 'died' in mid-quilt. I needed a replacement extra quick as I was booked into a dayschool and unfortunately there was a delay in delivery but this was resolved. This is the up-graded version with all the same features - I have still to explore all the extra stitches (there are 100 on this machine!) but so far, it seems perfect for dressmaking and quilting and is light-weight, ideal for taking to classes and demonstrations. Another good point - the accessories from my old machine fit this one so no need to buy extras.
