Do your sunglasses just slide in?

Yes. The ends of the sunglasses slide inside the ends of the eyewear retainer. Keep in mind that they will also easily slide out if your sunglasses get caught on anything. I use mine for safety glasses in the lab -- it adds a touch of color and keeps my safety glasses handy.
