TIVA C Series TM4C123G ARM Cortex-M4F Launch Pad Evaluation Kit EK-TM4C123GXL

Had to buy this for a microprocessor class. The board is fine, but that class was a nightmare. There is a 2000 page datasheet for this microprocessor. It is extremely difficult to interpret. Programming is in C...good luck. No libraries exist for this, so prepare to individually set registers with binary. The IDE (Keil uVision) is one of the most atrocious pieces of buggy, outdated software I have used. The board is very powerful. It has more GPIO, timers, etc than Arduino. Implementing it is very difficult because there is no support or online knowledge of this board. It's a real black box. You have to program literally everything from scratch.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I need it for the class lab. However, the manufacturer needs to improve the quality of this product. The product is very fragile, especially the microcontroller USB, which can be easily damaged, broken off, or become non-functional. This is the third microcontroller I have to purchase over the course of 16 16-week course.

A must for embedded developers on the Cortex M4 ! Easy to use.
